Anyone know where's cheapest to buy team jerseys? Even last years?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,700 ✭✭✭brayblue24

For anyone out there who doesn't have "Seven Deadly Sins" by David Walsh I picked it up just now on the Kindle for $4.29 (€3.28 according to xe.com).

    OK, bed time :D

I'd say they're spurious kits at those prices.

Oh I'd say so , I haven't ever bought off them , but I know a few people who have and they have been happy with the quality , the prices are extremely good .

    Too good!

The tops maybe fine but I'd say the shorts would fall apart/offer no comfort

Absolutely , I wouldn't even think about buying the shorts , it was only the jerseys which I heard about .

I've had a couple of fakes before, they're not really comfortable and they tear and fall apart fairly quickly.

Hi, was gonna pick up some cycling gear at lidl-specifically the shorts. Are they decent?

I was talking to a chap in a limerick bike store who rubbished them-though I'd expect him to say that given that his ones were a multiple of the price.

Buy a multi-pack of boxers in Dunnes/Penneys (make sure they're baggy), cut up a few cornflakes boxes into a chamois shape and stick them in with some double sided sellotape, save yourself some money and get about the same effect - and you can always convert them back to boxers afterwards.

Tops are ok for commuting, and (top) base layers are grand - just watch out for the sizes, they're sized for people that can't say no when offered the second and third helpings of sausage

They offer jerseys in medium, large and extra large, which seems at odds with the point of the medium size. Also, their "medium" happens to be 38-40 inches around the chest.

This aggravates my gaunt little body.

This's a brilliant price for gels, especially ones that don't taste like salty cat leavings.

    http://www.discount-supplements.co.uk/high-5-iso-gel-mixed-25-x-60ml-sachet

Also, spending over £50 there and using this code:
    ADDXLPMVC11JY

...gets you a free box of these yokes!

Some good deals on team kits on the Tour de France website...

    http://boutique.letour.fr/stores/letour/products/product_browse.aspx?category|category_root|41725=Shop%20by%20Team&lid=1

One thing to watch out for... I looked at these in work and most jerseys were around €46 with the discount, but when I looked at them on my home PC they were a tenner more expensive! This also happened before the tour when I wanted to order a t-shirt, it was dearer if I tried to do it at home, regardless of what browser I was using, even tried using a VPN to see if that would display the cheaper price.

It's definitely not the difference between euro and sterling? Sterling price is 45.31 - very close to your figure of 46. Perhaps one browser claims to be british and the other irish!
