Moving to Dublin next month and Im gonna be renting around the Mount Argus area in Harolds Cross.

Anybody got any info on what the area is like to live in? I saw a few threads from a few years ago but wanted something more recent.

Also how accessible are the buses into the city center for work in the mornings (19a and 48 i think)

    Any info appreciated. :)

Its a lovely area to live in. Plenty of buses go from Harolds Cross into town, 16/A, 19a, 54a. You're near plenty of shops - Superquinn in Sundrive, Rathmines, etc. I'd recommend getting a bike - you can fly into town in 15 minutes!

For drinks - Peggy Kellys is a good spot (across the road from the park).

I lived in Harold's Cross for years and I loved it. Rosie O'Grady's is a lovely local with a great pint.
