I will miss my laptop... since my sister has moved to London, ive used it so much to talk to her on Skype. If i won id give away my Electric Picnic tickets to any person who could give her a job in this country. I miss her

In times of festival frenzy there is a lot to be said for certain electrical appliances that can't be brought to a field in Stradbally... the phone charger; a necessary purveyor of texts and tweets to find some friends and inspire envy in others... the electric shower; to scrub down a days dirt from dancing... but for me the one electrical appliance I miss most is the humble kettle.

Sure, you can have your pick of different coffees, lattes and bambacinos, but the simple home made cup of tea to thaw you at the end of an Irish summer's day* just can't be beat!

*Irish summers day features winds of upto 20kph, driving rain and temps of 2 or 3 degrees
