Originally, martingale referred to a class of betting strategies popular in 18th century France. It is widely believed that casinos instituted betting limits specifically to stop Martingale players, but in reality the assumptions behind the strategy are unsound. Players using the Martingale system do not have any long-term mathematical advantage over any other betting system or even randomly placed bets.

Yup thats it. 7 consecutive losses is 140 units so would have to call it a day then.

Unless by some small chance I had exceeded 140 units profit in which case I would just start at the beginning again.

The staking system is 1 ... 2.2 ... 4.4 ... etc ...
