When did the music exam for teacher training college finish?

I am preparing a paper on Music Education in Primary Schools in Ireland.
I am wondering when did an assessment of musical ability
for teacher training college stop being part of the interview?
    Thanks in advance.

Had to sing and read music in 1986 anyhow ;)

Thanks. It seems to have finished up sometime in the early 90s.
I'm just not sure how early.

    Hi Son of Jack

If you look at p. 65 of this it says:
Academic entrance requirements for admission to the B.Ed. programme are described in Chapter 3.
Interviews were held in all colleges up to 1991

I'm guessing the music exam ended then also?
