Kite Surfing?

Hi,
I'd like to try taking some photos of kite surfing. Anyone know of any groups that meet around Galway and any contact name?

Hey

When the wind blows from a south westerly direction you will (more than likely) find people out at silverstrand (esp if it is the weekend).

A lot of organising is done via http://kitegalway.freeforums.org/ keep an eye on the 'going out today' forum.

I also see them in Renmore now quite often but I believe silverstrand is the better spot

Maybe the guys down in Rusheen Bay could help you. There primary focus would be Windsurfing but I have seen Kite Surfers down there once or twice.

Yeah

Renmore is good for the more westerlies.

We use the lagoon area to the east of silverstrand and south of the inner rusheen bay (which is left to the beginner windsurfers). You can park at sliverstrand an walk over the hill to the lagoon.
