Documentary, "Missing in Action", about Allied POWs captured by the Soviets and sent to the Gulags, this Friday (19 August) at 7 p.m. on RTÉ 2. (Don't count on it being available on the RTÉ Player)

We will wait and see. They do tend to show random decent documentaries on rte2 every now and then. They also show american style documentary drama type shows where they re-enact different parts incase people don't understand what is being said.

It was a very interesting documentary, I knew about the soviets putting any of their own russian soldiers which were in POW camps in germany straight into a gulag in siberia, along with german POWs, Polish which fought for britian etc... but did not think there would be so many british, Americans, french etc...

I saw it. One of the few decent documentaries coming out of RTE. It begs the question ....... how many MIA are there for the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war. Most likely we'll never know if we can judge from this programme as America seem to write them off as soon as they go missing.
