7 Seater or 5 Seater - Car rental

    Hi there,

    heading to Italy next year with Wife, new baby and Gran and Grandad.

    Trying to figure out of a 5-seater would fit 4 adults, child in childseat, buggy and probably 3 hefty suitcases.

    Am i better going for a 7-seater - cost is the main reason for the dilemma really.

    any 5-seater owners/renters out there who can help?

    Something like a Passat might do the trick although it may still be a little cramped in the back seats. The boot will easily take the luggage and a fully collapsable buggy, probably not a quinny/bugaboo travel system style pram though.

    Tip: take baby, car seat and your wife to a VW dealer and see how you all fit on the back seat and you can assess if you think it would be comfortable for the drives you have planned.
