    The L O in the cross would imply Loyal Order, coupled with the crown suggests to me is has something to do with the Orange Order.

    Could be completely wrong

    It's a nursing medal called a Moorfields Cross awarded in 1927/28

    thanks A44. i thought it might have been RFC or similar but was wrong.do you know if there are collectors for these sort of medals and awards?

    Not quite sure to be truthful,I guess like everything else there's someone out there collecting to these fields.I did see one of these in the past week online selling with a WW1 Victory medal but I can't remember if there was a link between each medal or not but I'm sure there would of been plenty of nurses who earned WW1 medals and went on to qualify for medals such as these ones.Is the medal named?

    thanks A44. there is no markings name or number on it. its a nice looking medal though even it doesnt have any military connection.
