    I'm sure this has come up in past, got the dreaded 3 rrod on xbox360. Its out of warrenty and there is no way I'm paying microsoft to fix it (€180 or so I'm told). Anyway if others have had the same problem what was the fix, I looked at youtube and saw the x clamps under the heatsinks and all they seemed to have done is remove and clean. Is this the procedure?

    dont bother with those diy fixes
    there a waste of time that do more damage than good
    and dont last any time.
    Not worth the hassle for a few weeks.
    Get it fixed proffesionally with a proper reflow or reball.
    Make sure whoever does it uses a good standard of equipment
