Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's the difference (except the price) how do you qualify and what's the catch?

    Hi MugMugs,

The difference, besides the potential 17% off electricity and 6% off gas, is that payment by direct debit is mandatory in the case of the Supersaver price plan.

To qualify for the Supersaver, the direct debit is essentially the only condition you need consider - but for a full outline of the associated Ts&Cs, see here.

The catch? Well, I guess you could say, again, that it's the direct debit! :) The offer is open to new and existing customers, but for existing customers (of 12 months or more) there is a further option of the Reward tariff, which doesn't require payment by direct debit. If you are interested in this, you can either ring 1850 30 50 90, or contact us by PM here on boards.

If you have any more questions, I'll be happy to help.

    Thanks,

    David.

Thanks David. So does MugMugs have to get both Gas and Electricity off you to get Super saver?

    Hi MugMugs,

Not at all - you can simply opt for the electricity-only price plan. The Dual Supersaver price plan caters for customers wishing to transfer gas and electricity to ESB Electric Ireland.

With the electricity-only Supersaver, as cookie1977 pointed out, there is a maximum discount of 14% available. With the Dual Supersaver, the potential discount off your electricity rates is increased to 17%, in addition to the 6% discount off your gas prices (this is calculated against the Bord Gáis regulated gas unit rate).

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    David.
