"Cycle lane may be obstructed"

Rick O'Shea asked on twitter what's the most pointless announcement you've ever seen and this person responded with this image:

Nice! I quite hate the placing of 'warning' signs that road works are ahead in the cycle lane/side of the road. Especially when they're on fast corners.

That one is quite useful though, it alerts you to the fact that a car is just pulling out onto the road

There was a house getting fixed up on Botanic Road a while ago just and they kept placing the warning sign in the cycle lane just at the end of this sharp corner, rather than before the corner where it should have been.

Or to the fact somebody has placed a sign bang smack in the middle of a kind of segregated cycle lane.

clearly it's wrong, however if it said:
"Cyclelane will be obstructed (by wheelie bins, cars, pedestrians, rubbish, security vans, dogs, street furniture, road sings or random acts of god)"

Then it'd be a pretty good sign
