Why do people get so furious when people enjoy different things on television? I dislike nearly everything on there but in the end it is dictated almost entirely by what people watch, and the money it makes. Its actually very democratic. Claiming other things should be shown purely because you feel a particular show is stupid is the heigth of arrogance.

Rather than proving your superiority to those that watch the show, I think this post demonstrates your lack of understanding of why people like this show or any show in particualr.

It say nothing about people who watch the show as your dont know WHY they like the show.

The point is this does not indicate anything about the person other than, for example, their opinion on haircuts. That somone would be so furious at a large group of people for liking a show and believing it "say alot about them" says alot more about that person to me.

If you expect anything better from Irish television then you must never have seen the mess RTE made of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire a few years ago.

I remember one particularly bad episode where the contestant did a 50/50 and then asked the audience. About twenty people in the audience actually voted for the two options that the computer had taken away in the 50/50.

Head guy from TV3 was on Mathew Cooper show last night and he was defending some of the shows on TV.
Basically people are sick of the doom+gloom on the radios/tv that they just want basic entertainment to take their mind off it and in fairness he's probably night.
I barely watch tv or listen to the radio anymore as it's too depressing.
