you literally only went over by less than half a gig if it cost you €200, so you wouldn't have missed it for the money. You could have topped up another simcard by €20 to avail of the free internet for the remaining time, and then used the credit later on

All you had to do was message someone on the 3 forum or phone them up or something and say "Can you disable out of bundle charge for 083XXXXXXX", seriously

Ah sure its done now and wasn't in my hands to decide, and they were not one bit helpful on the phone and didn't suggest anything like that. I like our new broadband now anyway. Thanks though..

Just found out that 5 of the people I've been texting recently aren't on meteor.

I'm meteor bill pay and only have 200 texts to non meteor people. This bill is going to be horrible!

Gah in the past four years I've had no need to use my non meteor texts.

broadband in my area taken down for maintenance last week. came back wednesday asince then its got the reliability of a pedophile babysitter. youtube not buffering, podcasts not launching , gifs staying static, webpages 404-ing like crazy skype calls dropping every 30 seconds or so.
    maintenance my hole. >:(

I've been talking to my parents about Freshers' Week and OH MY GOD, I'm going to hate commuting. How am I meant to have any kind of social life when I have to make the last train at 10? And are people going to think I'm a complete loser if I can't stick around? :(

Anyone you know going to the same college? You could sleep on a floor for the night.

Alternative is to make it count and go out at like 6 in the evening so that by 10 you're ready to go home anyway. :P

Trivial Argh: I have a pimple of some sort on my tongue.

Non-Trivial Repetitive Argh: Exams next week. Hard to study from lecture notes you didn't really understand the first time.

Even harder to study when the lecturer never uploads notes or exam papers

Life can be a harsh mistress at times.

Got into college which is fantastic. Parents want me to get a job which is cool as well, but with the times I'll be in till it pretty much means working Saturday/Sunday.

Now that's all fine except for the fact, Saturday is when my rugby matches are and the both days were often days spent with my girlfriend.
So if I get a job, no more rugby/weekend with girlfriend(should mention her timetable conflicts with mine every fecking possible way). Which means sad Mark.

But if I do get one, it means I take some of the burden of supporting me of my parents shoulder, but means I'll be rather un-happy.

You won't need that password again unless you're going staying on campus next year. And even then, you can just book through your village reception or through CLS. :)

Starting to realise I should've saved the 342e I spent to register for these repeats and just put it towards the module repeat fees.

It was stupid to even try.

If you have similar interests to people then surely you'll have stuff to talk about. Maybe not shoes (:P) but I don't know, music/movies/tv shows or something?

And in general just try to relax and have a laugh, bitches love laughing!

Maybe that's the problem! Maybe you're trying too hard... Girls are the same as guys really. Just talk to them as you'd talk to guys*. Being friendly works no matter who it is!

    *Within reason :p

I'm guessing your a guy right?
If so she may not be comfortable with a male friend.I know lots of guys who are uncomfortable with having female friends,so it shouldn't be any different with women.

Why? Girls are f*cking awesome to hang around with, and I don't mean there to be any sexual connotations to that. Sometimes* girls are way more craic than dudes IMO.

I often pride myself on being able to maintain an inter gender friendship without the need to stare at the other's breasts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,893 ✭✭✭Davidius

I don't see why women complain about boob gazing. They're only interesting because they have tits.

    I joke.

On an argh related note: My module choices contains too much scheduling conflict between things I want to do. Almost had to pick stats or elective modules to make up credits. I hate stats and am too scared of the scary world of other programme's modules.

I did end up picking a Physics (PHYC prefix and all) module even though I have never stepped foot out of Maths, Maths Physics or Stats. This is a bold and reckless move to me. I'm not sure I like this new wild side of mine.

Bizarre sight of the day: two big skinny flies stuck together, stuck to the bottom of my cup. They were either conjoined at birth or engaged in perverted tableware sex. Either way, I could have done without the spectacle.

Why are pets such responsibility? My housemate who owns all the pets is moving out soon, I'm going to miss them so I'm thinking of getting a pet myself. I'd like a rabbit, but it's so much money, and my housemates might hate it, and I'm not sure where I'd fit the cage and vaccines, and neutering and vaccines are expensive, and I'd have to think about what to do with it whenever I go home. I'd really love one, and I saw the most adorable lop eared bunny in a pet shop today, but it's just probably not a good idea at the moment :(

I'm really, really bored. Also in a bit of regret over the fact I procrastinated on getting my full license pretty much all summer. The provisional (or learner permit as every bureaucrat seems really eager to call it now) will expire soon and although I could just reapply for a new one I'd like to get this full license craic over and done with.

Pure luck I'd say! That's how I came by my job, couldn't believe I'd managed to get an interview for the temp job last Christmas...even more unbelievable that they decided to keep me on after!

I was looking for 2 years, no contacts at all, no experience, persevere and hopefully it'll work out!

Both myself and a friend were in the same position at the start of the summer; jobless and no experience. I spent the last few months volunteering in a charity shop and at festivals and conventions to build up my CV, and I kept applying for jobs the whole time. She applied for jobs at the start of the summer and then gave up and did nothing...until she got called for an interview a few weeks ago and now she has a paying job. I really don't understand the job market...

EDIT: This is really bad I've a general area of where to go would it be bad to text the person who rang me and ask for the address to avoid confusion? :(
