Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've just been given a huge sum of money by my aunt and uncle, and that should be a yaah, but my god, how can I ever aspire to be as generous as them? The amount they've done for me is just astounding... it's actually making me feel sad....

I love my friends so, so much, but I hate that every time I hang out with them I feel left out. It's very difficult to have a conversation with your best friend when she keeps talking about all these nights out she's had, and is planning, with "the girls", knowing full well that you're not included. Or to hear about her breakup two days later when someone tells you it was on Facebook. Or to be in a conversation with your best friend and a group of other people and it becomes painfully obvious that you're the only one who doesn't get a reference to some story or some party, because of course, you're never invited to any of these things. Ever.

Do you think that somehow it doesn't bother me to hear how much of an amazing time you and everybody else is having? That somehow being used to not being included makes it hurt less? Because it doesn't.

I'm starting to wonder if my friends don't want to socialise with me much anymore.
I bumped into 3 of them walking to another friends house when I was coming home from college and I asked them what they were at etc and I said how I had no plans etc just a night sitting in and they just ignored it.If theese were casual aquaintances I obviously wouldnt have said it but this is the same group of girls I've been friends with for the last 16 years.

I've a few ideas why but I have always found it hard to make friends and if we do drift apart I'll be devestated.

Woke up on the bus just before Arklow. Felt a bit moist around the back of the neck. Turns out there's a pretty big cut behind my ear, and I haven't a clue how it happened.
And my favourite yellow jumper is ruined! It's all bloody around the collar and left shoulder! :(

I had an open cut on my knee that I only noticed when I got in the shower..

i wish i had that problem. i could probably put on weight for something as inconsequential as a can of coke which was fine back in the summer when i had the time to spend 4 nights a week in the gym but now with college and work at the weekends and not having the money to join the gym in ul i have gone from 12 stone to almost fulfilling the freshman fifteen since i started college :(

I have a test in 6 hours that I haven't studied for yet. I've tried but I just don't understand the stuff.. It doesn't help that I did badly in the last test I had in this module, or that this time we have to get our marks from the lecturers office rather than get it in our tutorial.. I've procrastinated allday (and now almost all night).. Really want to cry! :(

There really really aren't enough hours in the day. I've forgotten at this stage what it's like to not feel tired. For the first several days of Christmas holiday I am not leaving my bed.

The Arts Office in college messed up my registration when I switched subjects over 2 months ago. Turns out they never de-registered me from Celtic Civilisation and they never registered me for Spanish. They never put my name on the list that goes to the registration office. F*ck them anyway.

I don't have the letter they sent me at the beginning of term confirming my subject change, so technically there's no proof at all that I ever changed subjects.

So now, I'm technically failing Celtic Civ, and freaking over it. Ffs.:(

Fuuuuuuuck! I bought a new mouse off the internet, and the company I bought it from decided to send me two of them! Some might be pleased about that, but since they both have the same invoice number (on separate packages), it means that it was a screw up on their end. AND THEY CHARGED MY CARD FOR IT TWICE! I have €3 in my bank account because of this cockup.

...Most soul destroying thing ever. I hate job searching :(
Went to 20 odd places, 3 took CVs. The last place ripped it up as I left... They also laughed...

Will never be shopping at said place again...

I would accompany you in that, but complaining would require having some sort of opinion and I could not possibly be feeling more apathetic towards absolutely everything right about now...

Debate preparation is a lot of work but enjoyable. I wish we could get some broader topics though. I'd like to debate something a bit more relevant to my life. I'm getting sick of "Africa this, Africa that" at this stage.

Hoi you, if you want someone to talk to, I've always got some free time. Might not be able to cheer you up though- I'm not full of the joy of life today my damn self.

Y'know those situations where, you want something, but you're also quite conscious that it if you get it, there'll be a point where you wish you hadn't gotten it at all? Yeah, fun!

come to UCC next year if you want to debate through 6th year; debate interesting topics that don't include "the developing world" every single sentence
there's rounds of the UCC debates in UL too I think, distance isn't an excuse (although I debated against some Limerick people on Monday)
