Ah George Hook ??? Is he the rugby guy ?
I'm afraid I listened to all of Enda's speech and I don't think the people are "mad" at all. Angry maybe but mad, no.

Regardless of what you think of George Hook, he had a point.

I was listening to the radio earlier and apparently Enda had been teed up by previous speaker, Josephy Stiglitz, who had made some sort of allusions to the unfairness of paying back the bondholders... Instead of capitalizing on this and compounding the point, Enda goes and contradicts him.. I like Enda, but I agree with the earlier contributor who said that he "lost the run of himself in front of that prestigious audience"

It's like he gets briefed on what to say, but when the direction changes he can't adapt. But I think accusing him of calling people mad etc, is taking what he said out of context.

"I dont know about evil people"

He was responsible for the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn child... I think that qualifies, Vincent..

If this policy doesn't warrant a referendum, then I think serious questions need to be asked regarding our constitution and how it serves to safeguard sovereignty

Enda will do his best to avoid a referendum. He's scared of looking bad going back to Angela with his tail between his legs.

You can sing that, the gov have done evertyhing possible to avoid a referendum, we need a citizen of the state or Michael D to upgrade a case to the Supreme Court

Well like Leo Varadkar said with Marion yesterday... Referenda usually just become an opportunity to kick the Government and the issue gets lost...

    Yah in German!!

This Irish Times guy wrecks my head too, those glasses - he looks like a jumped up pantry boy, that never knew his place.

    Is Vincent drunk?
