Mick must be saving a few bob bulk buying pink tops from Fruit of the Loom.

The pink looks well on her than her rather than Mick.

Well, Good evening folks. You haven't from me in a while.

Tonight's programme is about the household charge; do you think it is fair or unfair.

Mick Wallace is on if you're watching.

Does anyone understand what Mick is saying?

Does he himself! He was rambling all over the place and VB let him off. Dead Man Walking.

Yes, but your friend wasn't charged stamp duty when he purchased his house.

Aw shucks. Did he also pay Stamp Duty like I did ... about 20k at the time ?
Every country does not have that now do they ?

Only 500 people at Micks meetings, the Socialists were saying they had 1000s at their meetings.

Wallace looks like he was into the Van Halen/Bon Jovi type scene in the 1980s with the bleachy perm and dangly earring. And he just kept the look. It would be interesting to see what photos are on his mammy's mantlepiece.

No but unlike stamp duty he has to pay it every year.

The Private Debt has become the Public Debt.
Robin Hood Kenny is robbing the poor to give to the rich.

Well then they can deduct mine from my Stamp Duty.

Completely true - hard to understand what all the moaning's about having to pay for the provision of vital services.

did he tell you the services he has available to him as a result of this £1000 he pays. about ten times what we have down here.
and bet the head of his local bank didnt walk away with £800,000 last year like his counterpart down here.

Yes, but lots of people have already paid €20,000 and more in stamp duty and now they will have an annual property tax on top. The €100 property tax is also set to increase in the coming years.

Not to mention our angelic Bank Regulator who turned a blind eye but was allowed by his pals to retire with a huge lump sum and a massive pension.
You are better treated here if you break the laws, not a banker etc in prison yet.

''Income Tax is based on an ability to pay''

Well then; tell me Mick; Why did you have not have the ability to pay your employees taxes properly while you were an employer?

It nice to see in your opinion that socialists don't take responsibility very well.

I'm not sure what the charges are in the North but if I need to call out the fire brigade, they will charge me almost €1,000.

With rates up there it still works out more to buy and maintain a house, no one likes tax but the same people moaning about property tax complain about increased income tax too, simply put Irish people don't want to pay any kind of tax increase, the country can't run on fumes.

    This is for the Germans.

I'd say once this thing is implemented in some kind of properly thought-out way in a few years time (if that happens), the base rate on the most bare-bones terraced townhouse property will be €100. Everything else will probably be multiples of that.

But you said he only paid 120k for his house.

I don't agree with huge salaries like that and I never heard anyone going on about spectacular services up there, similar to what we get down here.

They be soon calling for a statue to Bomber Harris in O'Connell Street.

Sorry I meant relative to his house price.
