That is twice now Tom Lyons has been on in recent weeks and he has been very disappointing to say the least. You get the impression when is delivering a story he is ok, however the minute he is challenged he falls to pieces!

    Sam is useless....
I couldn't agree more. The guy can hardly talk! He wasted more time struggling to say his words that invariably let the Quinns off the hook for lack of time. How that guy ever got on the TV/radio is beyond me, he should stick to writing.:(

I heard about the college grants story on tonight's Prime Time already. It was a good debate with John Bryan, Ed Walsh and John Logue President of the USI.

Don't know if this will be an objective debate by Sam tonight.

Repeat of Prime Time as another poster has already said.

As well as a repeat of Morning Ireland, Today With Pat Kenny, News @ 1, etc etc etc

And Eamon Delaney is on the panel.:eek::eek:

    Switching off now.

I'd say the Student Union President comes from a farming background too. He wasn't too happy with Ed Walsh.

    He doesn't.

We all know this new proposed means test will never come to anything. Fine Gael will always protect the farmers. They'll never do much to upset them.

Someone will need to save for a fair amount of time to get savings of €500k into their bank accounts.

Eamon is right to know that "wealth is wealth", but it doesn't necessarily mean money.

How and why would a scumbag even risk stealing Michael Conlon's iPhone.

Does he even know that Michael is an Olympic boxer? A bronze medallist in fact!

That scumbag who stole his property is a pure fool.

Not sure it was stolen, and nor is Michael Conlon, he was on the radio today and said he wasn't sure if he lost it or he was dipped.

Alison O'Connor is on next Monday. Is she a good guest presenter?

On a different note a funny statement from an old boy in the pub the other night -
" Ireland won medals at the two things we are good at -- fighting and riding".

    Thought it was very funny.

Is this guy the only guest tonight?

EDIT* - I got that so wrong there.

Is this about Local Authorities or something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

God this presenter is like a bulldog chowing on a wasp.

    She's dire.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

I can't believe people are swallowing this shít. Even if 100% of the people paid the Household Charge, there would still be cuts to local authority funding.

The handling of the Household Charge from the beginning has been appalling. People should have been given the option of paying this in their local Post Office. I received my second warning letter today even though I paid the charge before the deadline
