A man in the audience, who owns TWO properties, is complaining about how hard done by he is.

    It's frankly laughable

    Slight exaggeration there.
He bought the two houses to live in one and rent the other so that he could pay back the mortgages. He now has tenants in one home who are on rent allowance. Until the mortgages are totally paid back he owns nothing.

two major differences between here and sweeden

low earners in sweeden pay four times as much tax as low earners here

public servants in sweeden are lower paid than in ireland

What services do the Swedes get for their taxes?

Interesting that he's living at home with his mother while his g/f has a baby and is presumably living in other accommodation..........

anytime i see anyone whinging on telly about how hard they have it, it is very rare that I find any sympathy for any of them.

' I bought two houses. Property market went bust (AS IT ALWAYS DOES IN A BUBBLE). Woe is me'
    Get real. And quit crying.

He took out TWO mortgages. NEITHER of which he could pay out of his own pocket. And he's whinging when it goes pear shaped. No sympathy.

So Patrica was caught out with her 50% of jobs from MNC, and just waffles on. I would have been embarrassed and stuttered to a halt right there.

He took out two mortgages. Neither of which he could afford himself.
That is frankly reckless and irresponsible.

Audience very skewed, seems to be only working class people on benefits and none with jobs or on the other side wealthier commentators, what about some working class people with regular jobs and middle class people with modest incomes to ie people I know or meet everyday? Very odd.

    Going off topic

    Question for you Rodin

Did you get your username from Rodin, the sculptor?

Maybe your means are better and you don't have children that rely on you to provide for them?

Go to a country like Liberia where there are no hospitals to treat a broken le, that's my point.
