Won't be getting his deposit back in Dublin West. One of 13 candidates. Unlucky for most of the feckers.

Will be worth watching tonight. David Malone (golemxiv) is visiting Dublin and is on. A very wise man who has written some fantastic pieces on the global theft of the majority for the benefit of the oligarchy.

    Who Bankrupted Ireland?

    Ireland was Germany's offshore tart.

Who are the bondholders we are bailing out?

    All worth reading.

Sounds like more of the same, then. I mean, no offence to the guy, but Vinny has been going around in (entertaining) circles about the Eurozone crisis for some time.

The only interesting angle, for me, is the political destabilisation and piqued talk of civil war in Greece. I know, pure rubbernecking!

Brian Hayes from Fine Gael on ... *sick in my hands*

Brian Hayes is the main attraction

VB's curls are looking suspiciously more like Gadaffi's haircut

Fair play to Benny for putting on his best pullover before coming to studio.

  • Registered Users Posts: 759 ✭✭✭Plautus

Benny apparently failed to get elected to Athlone Town Council, and is now punting in Dublin West. WTF?

jaysus .. Hayes didnt know we were running an 18 Billion deficit.. poor... wasnt it recently said to be now 20 Billion because of the poor economic/tax performance..

He's a lot more confrontational and forthright tonight.. Did he have a sherry before he came in

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,176 ✭✭✭Jess16

If Brian Hayes told me tomorrow was Friday I'd check the calendar. I'd like to hear more from Mr Darcy David please

  • Registered Users Posts: 759 ✭✭✭Plautus

Hayes is floundering here. Can't say I'm surprised though. All the rhetoric of February was empty - 'we'll pay down our obligations and not a penny more' - remember that? Come on Vinny, embarrass him and tell Cassie to roll some archive footage of Varadkar, O'Reilly or Creighton :pac:

I may be wrong but i thought it was 18bn due to once off payments made to banks. Its 12bn ongoing though.

    These independents are embarrassing..

Seems to be a prerequisite in Irish politics

  • Registered Users Posts: 759 ✭✭✭Plautus

Christ ... to a man, none of them managed to say anything relevant about the International context of the Libyan intervention. With the exception of Dave.

Appears VB was serious about getting the common folk on the program. Fair dues. Hope they were screened properly beforehand. Dont want to listen to some witless, clueless nobody though.

    This one seems ok.

Sarah McInerney battled hard to be here tonight, through the floods (from the Twitter)
Right we've driven on a footpath and gone the wrong way over one way bridge. But at least we're moving, albeit in the wrong direction.

    Fair play to her,
