Where the hell does Vinnie think the money is coming from to fund everything, does he not realise that cuts have to be made?

As for that FF mug, their pre-budget proposal apparently won't cut anything. Of course they have the luxury of not being in government anymore.....thank f--k!

Token cuts in Ministerial Salaries will do feck all for anyone.

And stop clicking your pen, the woman beside Dicky Bruton

We know that, but there's something unseemly about earning what Richard does and then giggling along about the austerity.

@Skid - Point taken, but I relish any opportunity to put Bruton on the spot.

I think Vincent may be wondering why the cabinet Ministers won't take a significant cut to their wages as an act of solidarity, if nothing else, to the rest of us. It would at least sugar coat the pill a little.

They would save far more by cutting the hundreds of ministerial pension currently being paid.

Reporting officer of a body attached to a committee or issue or geographical region charged with informing the parent body of what went on.

In this case it's a Rapporteur of the European Parliament.

Indeed, there are plenty of places that could have a scissors applied. n sign of it happening though, is there. It's easy to make "tough decisions" that won't affect yourself, heh?

So did I hear right no more cuts in public expenditure within the public sector? So we can expect even more extensive taxes in budget 2013, 2014 and 2015. WTF.

Wasn't there a New Romantic outfit in the early 80s called Le Rapportuer?

Rapportur : Cardiff did great at interview .
MEP : didn't the committee vote against him ?
    Rapportur : I'm ignoring that.

Poor old Richard was squirming when he was quizzed about his salary.

I thought he was less than impressive as he wobbled in with his private school haircut today...

Europe is mad all the same.

Mr Bean gets interviewed and rejected, but he will still probably get his promotion.

And if not, Enda will make up something for him to do back here.

Great bunch of lads, altogether

If he found that uncomfortable he should try standing in line to sign on.
