I think Vincent may be wondering why the cabinet Ministers won't take a significant cut to their wages as an act of solidarity, if nothing else, to the rest of us. It would at least sugar coat the pill a little.

Thats fine, I wouldn't disagree with you on that but.... they could save maybe what...€1m per annum from ministers wages? so that leaves the other €3.799 billion or whatever it is that they need to find from the budget.

Seeing the entire departed FF + Green government along with Harney, Lowry and all the other s--ts who supported them get tarred and feathered would sugar coat the pill for me, and a lot of others, but unfortunately it isn't going to happen.

If O'Gara would start converting his penalties there would be no need for these last minute drop goals

I'm not gonna argue with you there!
BUT I still think taking a substantial cut to wages and ministerial pensions should be mandatory if they're going to start attacking public services. How dare they demand of us carry this load when they don't shoulder any of it themselves? I know it won't plug the gap and the cuts will still have to be made, but they are only taking the piss out of us.

Cassie did have a brief swansong a few months back when she introduced Vincent to the joys of the 3Player after he returned from his summer holidays.

And he then asked her to tell the audience about NAMA like a dog that has just been taught a trick with a ball. Low, Vinny. Low.

That FF guy is Niall Collins of Limerick County, formally Limerick West.
He was part of the last Government that destroyed this country, steadfastly agreed that Bertie,Cowen and the "patriot" Lenihan and all their crazy decisions that suited nobody but their cronies.
He is of the Collins dynasty and some major strokes were pulled in the last election to have him re-elected.
Incidentally he took over the original seat in Limerick West from his uncle,
who was sentenced to prison for fraud and tax evasion. The sentence was suspended due to his old age.
    Smug...??? very much indeed...

I was thinking that alright. He's Gerry 'Luigi' Collins' nephew? I wasn't aware Luigi got done for tax.

Gerry wasn't done for tax evation, it was Michael Collins.

Former FF TD Michael Collins convicted of fraud

    Friday September 28 2007

A former Fianna Fail TD has been found guilty of fraud at Limerick Circuit Court.

Michael Collins had denied the charge of obtaining a tax clearance certificate under false pretences in May 2002.

The State alleged that Mr Collins had outstanding tax liabilities from a bogus non-resident account at the time.

Following a three day trial, it took the jury of seven men and five women 40 minutes to return a unanimous verdict of guilty. The 66-year-old will be sentenced later this afternoon and faces a maximum jail term of two years

Yes, correct. it was Gerry's brother Michael that was found guilty of fraud and tax evasion. When "Luigi" retired from politics he "passed" the seat to brother Michael, having previously "receiving" it from his dad.
Michael in turn "passed" it to nephew Niall, who in turn has a neck like a jockeys b####x thus the reason why many watching V.B. show see him as smug, and rightly so.
For sheer neck this guy definately takes the biscuit.
    Career politics at its best...!!!

I dunno, I used to hate Ganley.. but I'm starting to see him in a better light these days.. And Pascal seems to be a decent guy, probably one of the more honest of the FG people.. And Niamh is very cute...
