The panalists are all dressed for a funeral, there is a lot of black going on

I suppose when you consider the issues being discussed this evening maybe their attire is appropriate.

Vincent is trying on the Socratic Method again tonight. 'Who are the PIIGS? What does it mean to go forward? Who communicated the pensions thing badly!?'

    Snore.

Dont think Vincent is being fair here.. There was no NEW taxes brought in, they are just acting on existing legislation... The Revenue sent out a stupid scaremongering letter threatening all the pensioners and they should be criticised, because the letter should have been a) worded much better, more a carrot than a stick and b) sent to only the people to whom it related..

My cousin used to work for Catherine Nevin..

You're quite right. Pensions have always been liable for tax. This seems to have been badly communicated house-keeping. No new tax was launched upon which required an announcement.

Vincent also seems to have gone all austerity hawk. He wants the pain to be front-loaded now? Funny that, could have sworn he thought otherwise that night the programme went to the Fatima Mansions.

Looks like somebody in Thomas Bryne's house took out the shaving foam while he was asleep..

It's ridiculous for him to compare the one FG crook Lowry, who is now outside the party to the antics of Ahern, Flynn, Burke, Haughey, Callally.. etc etc.. There is no comparison in the level of corruption in the two parties... same levels of incompetence, yes, but corruption, no..
