Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If your really interested about driving you would be practicing it everyday. Book it for a date that suits you. Be prepared. Know what your doing. Know your sign and know how to use a bloody indicator(cause nobody does). It's not all about having fun it's a serious skill and can kill yourself and others around you.

I spent 1 week practicing then booked for 2 weeks later.

I randomly started looking up info on Bosnia-Herzegovina earlier.

I really would love to visit some of those Eastern-bloc countries...

As a side note, it actually says "Do not leave the paved path, even for a pee-break, due to the constant danger of landmines." and "If you see a building which looks abandoned, steer clear, as many people rigged their buildings with explosives when fleeing the war." :pac:

Then I'd suggest the BBC documentary 'The Death of Yugoslavia.' Can be found on YouTube.

Have watched a couple of other good ones about the end of Yugoslavia on there as well.

Life is hard there is no denying that. We're all in the same boat. Every adult I have spoken to has all admitted they don't have a clue what their doing. They are trained in something but are then thrown into the deep end and have to bluff their way through life in the hope that it's alright and we'll accept that. Sometimes I feel like I was born with a silver spoon. My mam spoiled me and then I grew up without that life style. But from what I do remember it has stuck with me. And I'd simply like to live that life. I'm sure like a lot of people I don't want to be working. There's no enjoyment out of it. Like I love my job everyday. Meeting new people talking to them that's me. But guess I'd like to have fun too.

Knowing who I am I would probably far more enjoy working if the weather was beautiful. Yesterday was sunny I was outside enjoying everything didn't really need anything. You could ask me everything and I would happily answer. Today don't come near me. My happiness has been taken away from me. And all it does it make me worse off thinking about happier times. Like I love sun showers the sun is shining it's great it's awesome. But rain on its own so dark and horrible. I probably look for the easiest way out in life but I'd rather sit on a beach somewhere sunny selling coca cola than in a multi million dollar job in the rain. It's not about the money in my life it's about how happy I can be to have an impact on other people's lives.

Your only problem is that you did not link any of these videos. For such a transgression, I feel it is only right to give you a one month ban if you do not remedy this situation within an arbitrary timeframe I've just set in my head.

Don't worry, I've missed the last... 20 or so weeks of giving notifications of playpens. :P

I heard he moved to foreign lands. lives with loads of wims. Runs his own island. Has some bunker oh you know that one like from lost. Rumour has it hes created space travel. although i know the real truth. and that he never speaks of his past. his story goes he woke from a coma and remembers nothing not even his age and just sailed on a boat and lives in the unknown. Never met the guy but from what ive read and heard he was a good guy. Some would even go as far to say saint like....

All we know is hes called the Stig!

So Turns out i have a temper and just been proven. Kinda figured bout 3 weeks before i became single I really upset them. And was there that it went all down hill. Anyway thats that my next problem is how can i deal with this so that my next relationship doesn't go the same way. Ive never been in a fight in my life. never hit anyone. im quiet natured and generally quiet scared of a lot of things that could result in violence. So cant see how this temper comes about. although ive been told it comes from my mam.

You know when you like someone but you're convinced they don't like you back so you force yourself to stop thinking about them? Then you manage to? And then when they drunk text you they tell you they used to have feelings for you but they don't anymore? And you realise it was roughly the same time? Yeah my heart's not breaking at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 252 ✭✭tr0llface

i'm sorry about that, i know exactly how you feel. i always manage to reduce any emotion to apathy by overthinking it too. (jesus christ i dont half sound like a gimp) chances are you could turn things around though, there's always gonna be some feelings left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,068 ✭✭✭LoonyLovegood

That's what I'm hoping may happen. Hopefully?

Also it's 40 minutes until a meeting that will either make or break my academic career and I'm so afraid I'll be told to just drop out and ugh.

Ah life would probably suck if we went after the ones we like but aren't sure if they like us.

Not knowing is much better than the crushing rejection, mortification and probable friendship destroying consequences of voicing these things.

I would disagree with this to an extent. While I have been in the situation and couldn't bring myself to tell her, if I had told her and she didn't feel the same, I know that we'd get over it cos we're good friends. The thing that bothers me so much is had I just said something it would have worked out amazingly for me, but alas, no, ce'st la vie!

    There is a solution.

Don't be a coward and say something.

Now, removing cowardice is a whole other issue, and I'm afraid I'm not privy to that department's activities so I can't give an update on their progress to date. :P

Well think about it, you're really good friends with a girl and you tell her you like her. If ye were good friends she would probably just be really nice about it and hope that you will stay her friend not the other way around! Unless shes mean, and then why would you like her anyways :pac:

I'm looking to buy and then learn how to play the ukulele, with the intention to move on to guitar after.

But, I haven't the first clue about instruments and strings and tuners etc, could anyone recommend me a good ukulele?

Apparently there is 4 different types, Concert or Tenor seems like the most suitable but hell what do I know :P

Ireland is just absolutely beautiful. We have an amazing landscape. Our towns may not be the best but our countryside remains as elegant as it did the first time it was created. If only i wasnt working i'd enjoy those sunsets for eternity. I see why the Americans love our countryside. Its just made up of 100% beauty. Who needs Failté Ireland when ordinary people can create more stunning videos like this for a fraction of the cost and get a massive investment back by helping business' boom. We're not in a recession anymore just feels like we are and we can change that.

Ooooooo what kind is it?? I have been looking into it a bit and I think a tenor would be the best but they seem a bit expensive. So thinking about this one or something similar.

I bought a uke not so long ago. (Have yet to actually play anything on it though :P)

The one advice I feel I can give is don't go for a super cheap one. Look to spend around €50 on it. The one I bought was €30 and it feels it. I had to buy a set of decent strings for it 'cos the ones that were on it were adverse to staying in tune.

I would suggest Thomann or Waltons as the best sites to go looking. I didn't really like Amazon's selection, but then I have sort of a crush on Thomann because they're such an awesome company to deal with. <3
