Marlow what about Audi RS2 ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,555 ✭✭✭✭Marlow

Marlow what about Audi RS2 ?

While the RS2 came in 1994 and was build to 1995, the S2 still was the top model available up to that date and after that date. The S2 was launched in 1992. There was no other RS until 2000.

The RS2 was only build for approx 1 year and ultra low numbers, while later RS are actually pretty much mainstream top end models.

Dude. There was no RS in that era. They weren't about until the naughties.

The Audi 80 S2 and Audi 100 S4 were "the" thing in the 90's, when it came to VAG. And they were real special.

The Audi 100 S4 or later Audi S6 basically replaced the Audi 200 Quattros.

And the Audi 80 S2 was the next thing after the Ur-Quattro.

But you should know all that already.

    /M

your right on every other point marlow but he Audi 80 was Audis first "RS" only available in avant form ..got tuned by porsche with porsche wheels brakes & mirrors too.....and an extra 100bhp + from the stock S model:cool:

in a previous life my ex girlyfriends boss of MAYBIN rescources dublin owned one & I lusted after the beautiful blue RS2 more than the girlfriend lol--hence the ex part:D:D

That Quattroporte was a fairly local boyo to me :) there is a Gran Sport I've been meaning to get pics of for a while, hard to spot it even though it's in Navan the whole time

Speaking of Navan, I saw this beauty in traffic :D

Um... yeah about that... none this time... Anyhow, taking pics while pointing my camera (not that I had it with me) towards an all girls kids school could get me in trouble

    ---edit---

I haven't lived in the area for awhile but I would take a guess at it being the black GTR that used to be around Drumcondra.

Any one in the Limerick area see the redish orange modern style Dodge Challenger today. Stunning and completely surreal to see it cruising past. Couldn't get my phone out quick enough :-(
