Saw what I thought was an ordinary 3 series saloon today but when I looked at the back of it it was 335ix I think. These were the four wheel drive model afaik and never sold here. Surprised to see it really. No pics unfortunately as I was driving at the time.

A serious sleeper if I ever saw one..

Theres a black LHD one, I think its an 07 reg that I've seen around Rathmines/Milltown a couple of times. If its the same one its genuine.

Edit: Heres a pick I took a few months ago.

Saw an english reg 3 series last night, twin pipes on both sides but at the edge as opposed to the m3 closer in the middle, anyone any ideas or just a random 3er with modded pipes?

335i is what it sounds like. Nice machines.

Yeah that's the one, didn't notice if it was LHD or not but it looks like that's one.. imported from continental Europe probably.

You can nearly get any BMW with xdrive these days, if it's LHD, mainly because of the demand on the american market. They're not available in RHD. There was talk about, it being possible on special order. But even if, you'd find it hard to convince BMW to place the order.

ASAIK, no 3 or 5 series 35d engine in x-drive though...:(

Don't think the x-drive drivetrain can handle the torque figures of the 3l twin-turbos. So it would mean back to the drawing board and for that the potential customer base is too small. Same reason, why the x-drive option doesn't come in RHD, unless you buy a SUV, E30 325iX or or E34 525iX.

And then even those old iX models are ultra rare. Only about 800 E34's ever made in RHD.

But there are the x5 or x6 35d or now 40d engines with 4wd... or is that a stronger 4wd system to the car's x-drive??
