also, loads of classics around Dublin today. the good weather must be bringing them all out. could only get a pic of this merc though:(

    <snip>

Jaysus, that'd be a nice pair to own! The newer one as a runabout, and the classic for the weekend.

Wouldn't surprise me if the gentleman driving the old Merc is the original owner. Lovely looking machine

Well probably not with it being on ZV plates.

Its probably the only classic Merc I like.

I don't even know what ZV means :P

    Import plates for classics basically.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

Ah ok, didn't know that. I thought they were the old plates that we used to have.
Out of curiosity, I remember we used to have red number plates as well, was there a particular reason?

No reason really, they were just like the UKs white on the front and yellow on the back policy.

I love seeing a car with red and white plates.

Saw a White 141 Maserati Coupe, on the Belgard Road last night.

Waiting at lights, but it stopped just behind another car so couldn't get a shot, and can't remember the reg plate, but it was 141DXXXX.

    ^^^

If it was IN the skip it'd be funny.

I'm failing to see the excitement of a Mk3 Golf though?

Nothing exciting, just don't see many of them these days.

It looks better in person. It's pretty much immaculate, 1996 car.

Lambos, Ferraris, Massers, classics.... and Moneymaker decides to give us a 1996 VW Golf :p
    Banned me thinks :D

Awful looking thing. The roof doesn't have to come off _everything_.
