That i8 is a great spot, won't be too many of those knocking around here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,694 ✭✭✭BMJD

It was probably heading to Joe Duffy Motors of Frank Keane BMW.

    Clip of it here:

Wonder if it has been ordered? :)

Going by the Northern plate on that loader its either been ordered by someone here but it had to be brought down from the North, or its been collected down here by a Northern dealer.

Woodside Haulage - NI based company, so I'd say that's off to Belfast. ROI transport is generally McNamara's.

Is that a new Mini under the i8? Rear lights look huge.

    The very elusive Fiesta GTI!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,193 ✭✭✭Cleveland Hot Pocket

You see some mad scones in the Tesco in newbridge.
    There's a funky looking 320d as well.

2005 silvergrey coupe with its wipers up? It's been parked in the same spot for the last 4 days.

It was a funny evening yesterday - I parked mine next to it and when I came out there was another E46 vert and an E91 320d parked next to me.

    Dublin 8 ain't much better

Dublin 8 doesn't know what it is. At least Newbridge has an identity.

Thankfully I'm far away from both. ;)

@BMJD: Your i8 from today. Dropped off to Dublin.

Popped up on my facebook news feed of all places. Dash cams at the ready for the next few weeks lads.

Yep, some lucky git here got it it seems.

Or a very, very, very, very lucky salesman has a nice demo for a while :D

That's even more futuristic than the P1, it's mental looking.
In a good way of course.

Problem with it for me is; its like the new 3 series at the front - which is alright.

It looks like a squashed i3 at the back - which makes me want to hurt myself.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,721 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

I much prefer the back of the i8 to the i3 though.
The i3 has to be one of the ugliest cars on sale today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

And just in time for the 142 plate.
I saw one of those i8s' in Salzburg a few months back being tested by BMW, have a pic of it on my phone.
    Impressive figures:

49co2 so the cheapest motor tax for something that looks that awesome, has a range of 600km and capable of 250kph :)

One of those "ill have to see in the flesh" cars for me. Have a feeling it's one end of a spectrum.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,685 ✭✭✭✭R.O.R

I knew I should have dropped the 5 Series demo back rather than them collecting!

found out that white sierra I seen is for sale on adverts:

I'd probably crash if I came across that on the road, it genuinely looks like it came from the future :p

Am I the only one that thinks the colour is rotten?
I like the rear alright but the front is a bit Meh...
    Futuristic yes, crash worthy, no.

To be honest I didn't think much of it in pictures/magazines because I thought it looked like another futuristic concept but to see that this is actually a real production car and there's going to be one driving around Dublin..well I like it a lot more now :p

    This is worth watching.
