Humber were like the Maybach of the 60s.

    Very posh and very expensive.

Slot mags on the back I believe. They look great on almost every old car.

How many of theese types of cars were made?

Informative article on Humber Sceptres here: http://www.kilkennymotorclub.com/2010/05/31/back-to-the-rootes/

He quotes production figure of 73,000 for three versions of the car.

I had the later Sceptre. It was my first auto car. What a beauty. Back in the days when a full cow Meant a full cow,and more wood inside than Sherwood Forest. I feel old now!!

70-odd thousand would be correct for all 3 models.

There were much more exclusive models, mainly the Hawk and Super Snipe. Both had big 6 cylinder engines and there were a few Pullman versions produced.

01D360. Ferrari without Cannonball stickers is very hard to meet those days... btw anyone going to Cannonball ? I mean look around. I'm planning to be on start lane and go to Cavan for their lunch and back to Dublin if anyone want to go :)

If you get there before 10 are you able to get a look at the cars up close? Thinking of heading in myself

Thank you mate. Glad you like them.

I am using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. Yes hdr effect was added to the photo plus many more. De-saturation, shadows etc.

Few random shots from tonight. Straight from the camera.

ps. Get out from Dublin to N4 or N7 is nightmare right now. Only one lane is open. Hope the road will be open tomorrow morning.

    Anyway, Enjoy.

Really wish Cannonball put some design into the stickers. Compared to Gumball, Bullrun and Goldrush it just looks a little amateurish :( Gutted I can't make it in myself.

I meant the actual time, not the planned time. it was well after 10 when I passed by and there was no sign of moving.

Any of them stopped for no tax or NCT yet? A couple of years ago they hauled a few cars away before they even made it past Merrion Square.
