No other decent pics though I'm sure someone else has, I saw nd's car parked up and he's good for the snaps.

Now as i promised i have few more shot from today morning...

by the way great Gullwing, i love this car. Saw one on terenure last year and it was awesome. Some of the Limerick C&C should show up on Dublin C&C but i heard they don't want to be part of Irish C&C and they prefer to stay alone as IFoS Cars & Coffee. :(

I would prefer the mk2 escort to the i8. As nice and unusual as the i8 is. It doesn't get the blood flowing for me :o.

Because its a V6 which means its a double bank engine so pretty legit.

Not like other cars with an "I" engine where it just splits out from the back box.

Mine is an IL6, has 2 exhausts and there's a separate exhaust manifold for 3 cylinders which continues the whole way back.

Saw a Maybach on the South Link, Ballincollig bypass yesterday evening. It passed me and I just went "Wow".
Its Huge. The physical presence is just, well, huge. :)

Two big circular objects (flagpole holders??) on the boot lid.
No pics, sorry, in the dark and driving wifeys 206, which added to the size differential.

Seen that Mercedes-Benz SL 500 on South William street last month must be down from the north quite a bit. I really thought it was the real thing but unfortunately it was not the case.

Anyone is free to do with their car as they please. But from a personal perspective, a decent exhaust system should compliment the car, engine note and overall aesthetics. Also, if you are thinking clever, it should improve performance. Think Milltek or Hartge on a finely tuned RS4 et al. Or perhaps a GTR or Lambo off the line. It improves the car e.g. From 2012:

But sticking some larger than life exhausts on your TDI, irregardless of the engine spec or layout, is just wrong in my opinion. And I have no personal issued with diesels or their performance. I'd happily own a 123d or Alpina D3, but at the end of the day, its like putting a racing stripe on it. Its doing nothing for the car bar attention seeking.

I was wondering about this, I was watching an old Wheeler Dealers this week, the one with the Subaru Impreza WRX and Ed put a larger exhaust and a new Air Filter into it and took it to a guy for remapping. The remapping guy told him the bigger exhaust was reducing the performance of the car.
I had believed bigger exhaust = easier to vent the fumes = slight better performance. Is that wrong?

In that episode, they specified that the ECU has to be told about the improvements in order for it to take advantage of them.

Some systems need a degree of back pressure, if you build a 4 branch system and they are all the same length it will ruin performance, if you run a car with no exaust it will lose power

My question was not about added performance or such.
It was simply a "Why not"
    It is the owners car.
Owner decided to personalize it to HIS/Her taste.

I have no qualms with people doing this. Fair play to them for doing what they want and not what others "Like".

On the other hand I do agree with oy uon one thing.
I would have a D3 in a heartbeat and have on regular "Very regular" occasions as in at least once a week searched the for sale sections in the uK with the view of importing one.
Only for those damn N47 engines. :(

There is a company in the UK specialises in tuning those and have dpf deleted/remapped etc to 250bhp and 400 Lb/ft torque.. :)

I still get the notion of buying one and get thew timing chain kit replaced as soon as it arrived.
If only I could be assured of reliability.

Red/pink Jeep Rubicon with quite big wheels and Kuwait reg in Sandyford. Not 100% about the color shade and no photos because it was too dark.
