As a long time lurker here I don't want to come across as a whinger but this thread is just turning into bickering over pointless things like reg's and diesels. I know Ireland doesn't exactly have an abundance of rare or exciting cars, but seeing an old Toyota saloon or a Dacia isn't exactly something most people would consider interesting. Sorry for the rant but just my two cents!

This is one of the threads I look at every day and contribute to from time to time. i don't want to see the bickering either but it hasn't taken over the thread so far.

I hit the HDR on the iphone taking the pic of the Range Rover Sport and it messed it up altogether, the matte green is much nicer and darker in the flesh, way too light looking in the pic, alot of power parked up above it, the new M5 & S63 AMG.
Missed a great snap of a new E63 AMG, lovely charcoal color with a slightly different tone grey on the very bottom of the front and back bumpers, savage sound from it also.

Won't see many of these around - it's Alfa's equivalent to the GTD, and this one has their DSG alternative.

Theres an iQ in my industrial estate, love seeing it tearing around the little mini roundabouts, probably just because I associate it with getting to go home though.

I dunno. I wouldn't be surprised to see some trees wither and die at the sight of that thing.

It's like they purposely made the i3 pug fugly. They're supposed to be quite fun, and quick too!

Not so sure about that. I'd say the manufacturing process kills more trees than a Ferrari 360 would from it's production to it's end of life.

Ehm.....the Ferrari 360 must also be manufactured!

In the case if you were scrapping your old combustion powered car for an i3 I understand your logic.

I'm talking about from start to finish including manufacture. Unless the manufacturing processes and materials used for these eco cars has changed dramatically then they're not at all eco friendly until they're actually put on the road.

Remember the articles done by TopGear and Evo a few years back about the Prius? The environmental damage done during the manufacturing process of a single Prius was well above the environmental damage done by most high powered cars throughout their whole life, from manufacturing through to the petrol they'd burn over a certain amount of years.

Multipla + roomster + the feltiest wheels never to be fitted to a Passat.

They really don't want people driving them do they? If they did they would have used the same team that did the I8. Jesus, even the X6 and 5GT lads would have managed better.

    Disproven.

The Argonne National Laboratory ran a side-by-side comparison of hybrid and conventional vehicles over their entire life cycle, which includes vehicle production, vehicle operation and the energy required to produce fuel for both cars. If you assume that both vehicles travel 160,000 miles (257,495 kilometers) over their lifetime, the conventional vehicle requires 6,500 Btu of energy per mile compared to 4,200 Btu per mile for a hybrid. That higher energy input results in far greater lifetime greenhouse gas emissions for conventional vehicles compared to hybrids
