You learn something new everyday! That's a bit odd for an engine like that isn't it!

What, a V8? No, most of the Yank ones have dual tailpipes.

There is a white (albeit older type) one in Cork - in Ballincollig. Rare yes, exclusive - no.

Yep, I hear all too often the only one in the country or the cleanest one in the country when whomever making the statement clearly has no basis to do so...

I don't mind reps at all once they're done right but for Gods sake put a proper block in it not a 4-Pot 2L FWD.

    FWD MR2?
    Does not compute.

Saw a volvo (I assume hybrid) S40 with these joke alloys:

Not necessarily off a hybrid. I know a fella with those on their 1.6 diesel. Horrid looking things!

Yeah it was just my initial reaction - those are so awkward looking they have to be meant for a hybrid. Terrible yokes.

I dont know I kinda like them! They are kinda like that retro-future look that you used to see in 70's sci-fi films.
Definite buzz of that about them. Sitting in a crappy car park in a crappy shopping centre on a crappy morning in Limerick on a car with dull paintwork ruins any chance they have really.

Yeah, well I didn't think that through now did I?

You get the point though. ;)

Those alloys look like they're for chopping tomatoes for a salad.

They're from the "drive" economy model s40. Horrible under powered 1.6d with longer gearing. Volvo got rid of them after a year or 2 because they kept corroding.

I think I'm in love with the Lexus RC.......except for the chunky obtrusive door mirrors. They do not fit in line with the car design.

    An irish CLK55 AMG:

    sxlkN4u.jpg

Can find a photo of CLK63 AMG but here is some for sale in germany:

    http://ww3.autoscout24.de/classified/263613755?asrc=st|as
    &
    http://ww3.autoscout24.de/classified/265252302?asrc=st|as

Both have 1 pair of exhaust. CLK55 AMG F1 Performance have 2 pairs of exhaust and don't know about CLK63 AMG. Some have, some not. The same with CL55 AMG (w215) - first models have two single pipes (one on each side) and thethe newer have 2x2 pipes. Don't forget CLK AMG have 5.4 engine but without kompressor and producing "only" 367HP instead of 500HP made by SL55 AMG with the same engine but with kompressor. Love to put SL55 AMG engine to my CLK... V12 from SL65 will not fit unfortunately.

I love AMG company so I know a bit about it :)

P.S. I was looking at this CLK55 AMG Convertible when it was for sale at Beshof Motors but he wanted 15.000€ and it have grey interior which I hate.

Hope we sorted with 1-2 pairs of exhaust on CLK :)

The RCF looks nice in that blue colour plus that is the Premium version. I wonder if he got the Torque vectoring differential in it, its a €6,700 option.

It's a Superamerica (convertible) and a car I'd certainly love to own along with a 456, such overlooked and underrated cars.

The photos don't really show how big the 575 is.
