I find it sad that these arabs feel the need to drive to London each summer to get a kick in their expensive toys.

If I had a few million in the bank i most likely would buy a supercar, would I go driving to dubai..

meh., as much as I would encrust it in ridiculous gold and whatnot.

The thing about those Arab boy's is that their annual pilgrimage to London is a win win all round. For them personally, the majority are young and wealthy and the summer in London is a chance to let the hair down in a way they can't back at home in terms of socalising and drinking such as is forbidden in their home land, usually in the months leading up to Ramadan.

On the other hand though, they provide a completely free motorshow for us petrol heads on a daily basis in London. Whens the last time you gave an old dear a tip for her £1 bet on the Grand National and then seen her picked up in a Lamborghini or found a Veyron sitting down a side street behind a Rolls Royce??

I was there last year and saw my share of arab exotica!

nice indeed, if that's what gives them the kicks, do these guys ship cars over by air or something?, unless they are crazy enough to drive about 5,000 miles.

Ill happily admit that the time I spent a day strolling about Knightsbridge in 2012 among the Veyrons, Enzos, Astons, McMercs etc, the thing I enjoyed the most and has stayed with me most vividly was a boy in an Arab regged Evo 8 comming fully sideways outside Harrods with the anti-lag bouncing. You can have all maner of supercar/hypercar in front of me but its things like that will get my attention. Very like when I went to the Goodwood FOS and more than half my pics over the 3 days were of a single Corolla Ae86 rally car :D

Almost certain it was you that said the same thing a few times in this thread already but it's not true - one person owns the Ferrari and another person owns the Audi.

re the S8 above, what is MTM in Audi parlance?
Is it a non-Audi styling/performance outfit similar to Lorinser or Carlsson?

Neither of the owners of those cars owns or manages the Westbury. Although the owner of the 599 is a hotelier, he has no involvement in the Westbury. My understanding is that the R8 is owned by a local restauranteur.

    That's correct. 2 different owners.
