There used to be an old mustang or something parked up in a garage for an apartment block, no idea if it's still there. Thought this might have been the same, although that looks miles better than how I remember the one in Cavan.

What is with the new "rough" look headlights. I hate them with a passion! Takes all the smoothness out of it. I have to say for me, the lights ruin the car.

    Feck sake!

I loved the A6 last year but this year I've noticed the LED design on the headlights... Not nice

Gone from a very smooth look

A lot to be said for nice pulsing bulbs as opposed to the stark on / off led's.

Also I don't see why drl's need to be a separate light. Why not just have side lights on full time like Volvo have been doing for donkeys?

Apart from a few people who were oblivious to me trying to take a picture, quite a few waited while I took a few shots and put the cam down before walking in front of me.

Did you go Sunday? What did you think of it?

Yes i was there on Sunday morning. I think it was a good show, nice cars on display, so many people. I'd say too many people but i know some may say that if i stay in home there would be one person less. I get there about 10:45 and i park my car close enough to the hall but if i came half an hour later there was no spaces left. People had to walk from other car parks in the rain.

If i can say something about cars i have to say that i really like Irish Classic Car Shows. There was most beautiful BMW i have ever seen: 507 Roadster and Mercedes 500K in red - just perfect. The other way some cars were display in wrong way and it was very hard to take a photo of them but only few. Some of cars parked outside could be park in empty hall beside main show instead but i'm not sure if they were private cars or part of show. If they were private it's ok to park them outside :)

I'm really enjoy it and i'll be back there again.

I had a problem with my camera because i set it on auto program and ISO was set on 1250-2500 too much. I changed it on 100-200 ISO and then photos were too dark, i resolve that problem after 2 minutes and taking a photos was a pleasure for me again.

I didn't know about it as well. I opened my facebook and there was an info on one of my friend page. That was on Saturday and i decide to go there on Sunday morning - before i stuck in work.

It is looking interesting but i don't know what's going on with this :(

I've been really into the idea d bare metal cars lately, there's an Aventador going around that looks great, the above with the original patina looks even better.

That merc coupe 220? looks immaculate.

It got relatively quiet once the rugby had gotten underway! I'm no longer surprised at some of the gems this country has, I'm 95% sure there's even more rare stuff out there that not many know about!

I was struggling as well taking pics, I don't like going over ISO 800 and even at that I get a bit of noise. Most of what I shot was underexposed by a 1 or 2 stops :( Might take a tripod the next time and not have to worry about camera shake or high ISO then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,080 ✭✭✭✭Big Nasty

Great pics as always Marcin! ;)

I thought I had seen most classics in the country by now but it seems there's still a lot of gems hidden away.

    Sorry I didn't go now! :(

That classic car show in the RDS was well advertised in Irish Vintage Scene magazine but not sure where else it was/if it was advertised elsewhere.

Of all the weekends my In-Laws came over from England it was when this was on and he has no interest in cars what-so-ever! I'd organised to go with my Uncle and some friends but couldn't go and leave the visitors. Thanks for the photos Marcinek, would loved to have seen the Alfas and BMWs in person.

I was going to go home around 3 but decided to hang around a little longer just incase it got quieter because of the match, and it did and I'm glad I stayed.

You mean 58 plate? If so it's a BMW 507, the Z8 was kind of a moderna take on it.

Yeah it's a kit car. This was the car that made me decide which painter to go for! I seen it after it was painted, first time seeing it finished so I had a good look around it and I love it!
