Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The price,
The cheapest drum mower is around 2000
The cheapest disc mower is around 4000

The disc mower is lighter and easier on the tractor, it also is less susceptible to damage from stones

Before we dropped doing our own silageing altogether, I did pretty much all the mowing for the best part of 20 years; the first 5-6 with a Claas 3-drum mower, and the remainder with JF/John Deere disc mowers.
I was ALWAYS of the opinion that the drum mower did a neater/cleaner job and was easier to drive than the disc mowers (no conditioner on it though, which would make a big difference), but that may have been just the nature of those particular mowers or the way I was operating them.
