    Fergie probably assumed wrongly though.

Surely if the tabloids were wrong about his contract situation they would have been informed weeks ago when they first started writing stories centred around him only having 6 months to run on his current deal and the rumours would be put to bed.

It doesn't add up and the longer it drags on the more likely it is he leaves.

I remember Fergie saying a few years back he read about Heinze's agent pimping him out to every other club in Europe and he thought to himself 'hold on, he has a year left on his contract'. He then when into the office to see his files and sure enough Heinze had a season left on it, bit embarrassing on Heinze and his agent really. So not only did he get the contract length wrong, they basically gave away their plans were. What followed was a very messy summer and rulings/ appeals etc. before United eventually sold him to Madrid for the £8M, point blankly refusing to sell him to the 'pool.

So although it’s possible for Fergie to get contract lengths wrong of course, especially as Pogba is not yet on a fully proffesional one, I do think he normally gets them right. Be interesting to see if he was right here.

well unless we sign somebody, he will get his chance in the PL pretty soon.

You think Pogba would be put in ahead of Morrison?

Morrison seems to me to be the better player, as in more skill, flair, creativity, in the mould of what we have seen from Cleverley. Not great on the defensive side.

While Pogba has more to his defensive side, I still feel he lacks a proper sense of positional awareness that we see with more polished pro's.

I reckon for a full PL game Pogba would be the better option but as an option from the bench Ravel would be more effective.

Pogba won't play for the first team again unless he signs a new contract. it is simple as that imo.

You might have that the wrong way around.

we aren't going to play him to help his progression for another team. If he wants to talk to other teams, such as Inter, he won't play for United.

Castlebar Celtic are a great club, successful underage and women's team.

Have on numerous occasions trounced our club! I hear he's a great little player...

could well happen, if city are home the same night!

Not this round though, as we cant be drawn against other Prem teams. Will have to wait til round of 16 to possibly play City/Stoke

I think Anderlecht is the shortest possible trip so that'll do me!

He is anything but little. He's about six-foot and an absolute tank for a young lad. He's strong, fast, great shot with both feet, great passing ability, again with both feet, jumps like a fish and has a great attitude. If United were to get him and he progessed as he has done so far then he would be a fantastic acquisition.

Pogba's movement for a young player is exceptional.

Was it a bad kick in the face?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,517 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

Liverpool down to ten men. Missed it, but read that it was a nasty tackle.

It wasn't a nasty tackle. Far from it. The Man Utd player went down holding his face when he wasn't even remotely close to being touched in the face.

Pogba with a effort just wide. Nice patient play up to that point.

He got a boot, if not two to his face!

I'd love to see Pogba make the bench this Saturday against QPR, with the injuries he must have a good chance.

Anyone else see Scholsey doing a million keepie uppies, left foot right foot, hands in pockets? Magic.

Have a look at it again. I find it difficult to believe that anyone could genuinely think he got two boots to the head

They were both chasing the ball, Suso got the better of Pogba and slid the ball away. As he rolled backward, he caught Pogba in the face with his boot. Having looked at it a few times, I think it was deliberate and he deserved to go. Having said that, he only grazed his boot across Pogba's face, not the sort of thing that was either vicious or painful, but still there was intent there and he did deserve to go

Gibson's picked up a slight knock, replaced at half-time.

WTF? I said a boot if not two to his face and you go and mention head?!

Then follow that up by saying he got a boot to the face...so failing to see what your point to me was!!

I wasn't differentiating between face and head. My point was there was only contact once, not twice as you suggested

    EDIT: 2-0

    2-0 Lingard

    Where did I suggest that?!

If two feet hit you at the same time to me that is considered getting hit once! I never said anything bout getting hit twice!

What is the story with Pogba and his contract ? The commentator on MUTV was saying before the match he won't sign a new one and his current one runs out at the end of the season ? Talk is supposedly City have been sniffing around him ?

    Opr

The shot's all well and good but look at the pass he gave Will Keane just after that shot. That's what it's about imo.
