Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    morning nocties. time to figure out the mobile phone i got yesterday. was all like boo i am going to have to type in ALL my contacts again, then yay when i realised google imported them for me, but now a bit ARGH again in that it appears to have imported some TWICE, and some that i have no desire to be in my phone, like email only contacts and the loike. some sorting required.

    Assuming you've got an Android device, it should offer the option to link some of your contacts and will suggest linking people with the same name. Mine links Phone number, Email address, Twitter, Google + and can link Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace accounts too I think.

    ooookk. well so far it asked me did i have a google account. i said yes and chose my main one, it then downloaded ALL the contacts off of that, so email addresses i had stored just in case i wanted to use them again, as well as my phone contacts. i don't want those random people on my phone!

    Well given that phones now have a lot of storage for small things like contacts, you can leave them there or delete them without any real impact - it's up to yourself. Google looks at it as "anyone you've contacted is worth remembering cause maybe you'll have to contact them again."

    You can also specify that you only want to see contacts that you have phone numbers for or you can choose to include email/Twitter/etc in your list.

    handy. i shall attempt to find that feature. something that has particularly peeved me is that when they were bringing the contacts down, say i had joe bloggs phone number in my old phone, and joe bloggs email on my gmail on the puter before. now there are two joe bloggs listed on my phone, one for each :mad:

    I'd forgotten about that. However, I stand by my comment. The routine never changes, no new effort is put in. I think I'd rather just watch the movie screening and not be subjected to the amateur parading about of part-time "actors".

    The only positive note about the show is the warm up act; at least she puts in some imagination and ingenuity to her act! Unfortunately even that has become stale for me; dowdy old housewife discovers she has boobs and dances around a bit. Whoop-de-doo.
