Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    As for deterring under-age drinking, I don't buy it. I suspect that the closing time has got something to do with the declining number of customers going to pubs.

    Sometimes you can't afford to stock up :(

    Possibly, but pubs are also expensive.

    Yeah, remember hearing at the time that the vintners put pressure on the government to force off-licences to close earlier.

    Especially if you get used to drinking from off-licenses. Bars are far too expensive anyways. I don't even drink and I consider them a rip-off.

    It makes sense - they were taking all their business. If both had the same opening hours, I'd imagine that many people would go for the cheaper option.
