Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It should be obvious to the nation by now, the less you hear about a referendum, the more likely it is that you vote no :p

    Wolfie: there were proposed amendments to 2 articles of our Constitution up for approval today. Basically, one would allow the Government to control judge's pay (and the judiciary and Government should never be intertwined like this) and the other would allow the Dáil and Seanad (our 2 houses of government) to investigate people like the police and given some of the cowboys in our Dáil, that is a truly frightening prospect!

    Aye, I wouldn't trust many in the Dáil with such powers. Especially since the Callely fcuk-up.

    I noticed a Fine Gael Poster telling us to vote Yes on the constitution amendments outside Busaras last week, and from that poster, I gathered that I should vote No, on the sole reason that Fine Gael seem to be bigger power hungry tossers than Fianna Faíl.

    It's how I make most of my decisions in relation to politics; do the opposite to what Fine Gael tell you.

    You should expand that philosophy to "do the oppositie of what any political party tell you".
