different metals are wholly different things.
I dont understand people not noticing the difference. plastics too for that matter, PET is a world away from PEEK.

trivia de jour, the little metal pencil sharpeners are made of magnesium, not aluminium

This is looking up to be a quiet Saturday night in.

I may have to light some of this new chocolaty/toffee/coffee scented incense I got. Best thing ever. And lash on some horror movies.

Did you know that aluminium was once considered one of the most precious metals you could get? More precious than gold!

The washington monument is capped with a cast of pure aluminium - it its time the largest single piece of aluminium cast in the wold and considered priceless.

Of course as I am sure you all know, the Hall–Héroult process came along and changed all that, and today we can enjoy aluminium for its excellent strength -to-weight ratio in bikes and aircraft, especially some of the amazing aluminium alloys, such as the 6061 series, which has an ultimate tensile stress off over 120 MPa!!

God, I LOVE aluminium, and long walks on the beach.

Perhaps but you don't need fancy letters after your name to wholly appreciate an amazing metal.

Next time you crack open a beer or cola, just you remember the can you're holding is made from aluminium.

That's right, it's the choice for the engineer, it's the choice for the new generation.

Yes, aside from aluminium, my other passions include high pressure water transfer systems and refrigeration.

I'm a real hit at dinner parties.

Yes I'm an engineer and freaking proud to be a nerd but as a cyclist I also appreciate the savageness of aluminium as it means I can go super fast :)
