hehe, and that Irish base would be where exactly.
Or more specifically, does that mean they have a sales counter or are they web based only? :P

the box arrived today, it had a leaflet inside explaining that the sky chanells had been put into the fav setion in groups, a nice touch methinks as it saves a lot of time altho there is a zip file advailable online to do so, it will be tomorrow before i get a chance to get it up and running, thanks folks.

Do these S10 boxes allow a working EPG and a pause live tv option?
I see different specs on different sites for the same box.
I'm looking for something that will basically do what sky+ does.
I want to select programs in the future to record.
Seems the sales info is a bit vague, makes me wonder if it's another chinese lemon.

one can record on a thumb drive, it would be best if you googled for the operational manual then study it, i think that one can only get an epg for the chanell on is on, of this i am not sure, it suits my need admireably.

Yeah I read the manual, didn't really give me much info.
Think i'll avoid this one, sounds too chinesey.
See if i can find a branded one.

I have a 500gb usb drive attached to mine and it works fine. Great little box IMO.

Yeah i read the manual before i posted, it was typically chinese.
In the end I decided against the openbox and bought a 500GB FreeSat Goodmans/Grundig box. Has an 8 day EPG and pause live tv etc and cost less than a humax or dreambox.
I wouldn't even pay £10 a month on cardshare for the tripe sky turn out.

i use it for free to air stuff, i can record on it, i can stick an external hd on it and it plays everything i have asked it to.
