Hi all, new to this so forgive if it not in the right section. I have my sons christening next Saturday and need some help as to where I can get a tuxedo for him. I know it's leaving it late but the place I was supposed to get it let me down. I want to buy rather than rent one. I am in County Galway but would be prepared to travel if anyone has any suggetions. Thank you all.:)

Hi, i dont know about galway but if you are willing to travel there are a few places in dublin city. Im having my son christened in 2weeks so have been trawling the shops for a suit the past few weeks! Firstly there is a shop on talbot street, dublin 1. It has been there almost 100 years, sells childrens clothing at very cheap prices and the quality is good. They have white suits for 29.99 and believe me the price is no reflection on the quality becuse they are lovely, and well made. Another place in the ilac centre, also dublin 1 have suits in white and cream/ivory for 50. Also well made and nice. Then there another shop just off henry street, they sell communion dresses and suits, they also have christening suits although cant remeber the prices. Usually the shops that specialise in communion outfits for boys/girls will also have christening suits so if you dont want to travel to dublin and there is a shop like this in galway, im sure you could pick one up there. Best of luck :) oh by the way you could also try a google search for christening suit stockists galway city...im sure it would bring up something!

I'd imagine that Ryans on Shop St would have them. Or BT maybe? I've seen them in baby/children's shops, especially the ones that stock communion outfits.

What we got for our son was an all-in-one white suit thing. It had a shirt sewn onto a trousers and a wee tie with a cross on it that was gorgeous and the whole thing buttoned up like a sleepsuit. It was just like this one and that link is from an Irish site.
