There's also a Tower Records above easons on O'Connell Street I think, though I don't like that one as much. It didn't have any metal cds in it :( The one off Grafton Street is much better.

Go you :), I finally hit the 10k mark tonight with less than two weeks to go before Hell and Back still think it will be very hard but feeling I can do it :).

On a side note now that HMV is fooked :(, weres the nearest Tower Records or decent dvd/music shop in town in relation to Skin City does anyone know? Was planning on going to Liffey Valley to pick up to blu rays for myself to watch but eh no point now.

Oh and none of the banana bread beer in Tescos in Clondalkin today :(, so im going to try the Lucan Tescos tomorrow I have to get my hands on a few bottles.

There's also a Tower with a bigger selection upstairs in Eason's on O'Connell Street, and Golden Discs in the Jervis have a decent selection of DVDs. :)

Delighted for ya, knew you'd hit the 10k mark soon enough. :):) We're turning into fitness freaks haha, now all I need to do is get thin and I'll be sorted!

Also, I'm making a lovely, healthy dinner. :) Two butterflied, grilled chicken breasts and chickpeas, covered in a low salt, low fat, low calorie mild spicy sauce I made. All protein and all low calorie/salt/sugar/fat. My trainers are gonna love me, haha.

Bloody wide awake! You'd think id do the intelligent thing and drag my weary carcass out of bed bright and early tomorrow morning, but no, I'll jump out around midday and complain all over again tomorrow night. Unemployment doesn't suit me.

Have you heard back from that job yet?

I'm also wide awake, but have to be 'up' at 5am to bring my sister to hospital for surgery anyway, so no point in even attempting to sleep. I'll crash for 4 hours or so once I get her home. Or I'll throw myself on three seats in the hospital waiting room and sleep while she's being operated on. :pac:

I did actually! They rang me to say they loved my first interview and I've to go back in for a practical day on Friday. Absolutely delighted!

What's your sister having done? I hope its nothing too serious!

Delighted for you! :D Are you excited??

Nothing serious. She's had a 'bad' knee for about 10 years (she's 20), the GP refused to refer her to get it properly checked for 7 years, telling her it was a pulled muscle every single month when my mam brought her down. When it got to the point where she couldn't walk for three months and was on borrowed crutches, the GP finally referred her to a specialist, so she's having exploratory surgery in the morning, after waiting 2 years. If they find anything wrong, they'll be giving her a general anasthetic and operating to fix it there and then. She's terrified of needles, doctors and hospitals so she guilted me into going. At half six in the fúcking morning! Thank god there's a restaurant there that opens at 7, I'll be drinking coffee after coffee to keep me awake. Also bringing a portable DVD player and a few films. :)

    No "news" as such here....

My tattooist cancelled Saturday as he "has to go off" but has rescheduled for Saturday 2nd February. I just want more tatts! (and tatts finished of course) LOL

Also onto the hospital this morning for results of the CT scan - nothing yet. FFS! Have to with til they get back to me next week and give me ANOTHER appointment with a consultant. Getting mighty pissed off with this waiting around!

Sometimes getting a job is just insulting, looking at jobs in England advertised for outdoor instructers, one of them if offering 12,589 per year....which if you treat it as a 40 hour week job works out as 6 an hour, which is below the minimum wage. Also no outdoor job works on a 9-5 basis and you also have to pull night duties. Like I knew I'd never get rich doing my job but I'd expect to earn more than minimum wage, not less!!

FINALLY home from the hospital. Been there since 6.30am. They found out what was wrong, and fixed it during surgery. Turned a normal, keyhole op into an op that has her off of her feet for 6 weeks, and she can't do bootcamp classes with me til after that.

She was bloody hilarious coming around from the anasthetic. Told one doctor that he was beautiful, told another that she had a dream about him, then demanded he go get her McDonald's, and made weird, contorted facial expressions for about an hour, while talking complete and utter shite, half of which wasn't even in English. :pac:

I remember when I went to the hospital with a broken wrist, I got there around 5 pm and didn't get out until half 2 in the morning.

    I've never been in hospital.

    I'm Bruce Willis.

I've been in hospital more times than I can count. In the last 12 months alone, I'm pretty sure I was in hospital around 5 times. :pac:

Marty is currently halfway through having one of his tatts added to, I'm so jealous. Only been a month and I NEED another. :(

I've only ever broken 3 bones, and each time it's been one of my wrists (the danger of playing in goals for both GAA and soccer). One of the times it happened I thought it was just a sprain and played the rest of the match >_>

I was a hyper active kid that went through things rather than around, plus I played an obscene amount of sports, at one stage I was involved with 8 teams on a weekly basis so my knees/body has taken a battering.

Golden discs are doing a 20% discount if you produce a hmv voucher at the tills. Tis actually quite a good thing and great marketing by them

I'm kind of itching to get something new tattooed on me, I might go for the Blood Angels symbol from warhammer 40k.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,158 ✭✭✭FoxyVixen

Ha, I fractured my skull in three places so I win on broken bones :P

Actually looked for banana bread beer on the way out of town today. No luck, so opted for doritos and dip instead :D

Miserable night to be out driving.

I should be out drinking tonight. :(

Thankfully, with my sister out of action for 6 weeks, out Thursday nights out in the local kip are over with for a while. That'll make giving up drink for two months easier. :D

Every single muscle from my lower ribcage up to my neck hurts. I presume it's a combination of boxing too hard last night in class and sleeping in a car today. :pac:
