Ah those were the days. Getting bored in a computer class, and just writing nonsense symbols.

Sending your BASIC program to a friend for testing, when the 'program' consisted of:
    10 ECHO "F**k you!"
    20 GOTO 10

Working alone, bored silly, and my friend from the shop across from me isn't here to entertain me. all of a sudden that song that goes 'all by myself, don't wanna be all by myself' plays on the radio. I start singing along til I realise the irony in it, and abruptly jump behind the counter and busy myself doing a stock take. :o

That reminds me of when one of my friends worked in a net cafe and I used to drop in to see him a lot. Whenever it was just the two of us in there we started singing "I think we're alone now, there doesn't seem to be anyone around!"

Who said my friend from another shop is a bloke? :pac: I won't confess to either, Marty will either get annoyed or excited depending on their gender, if your idea were correct. :pac:

Thanks for the suggestions guys but I'm not a sports person. El Clásico sounds interesting but I don't think I'm interested enough to manage to speak about it for five minutes in Spanish without a transcript.

I think I'm going to do it on Day of the Dead. Still don't know how I'll manage five minutes out of it but it interests me and if I get some nice pictures for the powerpoint they can prompt me enough to adlib or I can at least waste time explaining and describing them.

Ah, it's all fun and games till someone gets a pair of boxers in their pint.

    [edit]

Killer_Banana you could do plenty on the various iconography used for Dia de los Muertos, the calaveras, sugar skulls etc...

Ah talking about it in Spanish is a totally different kettle of fish, it's one thing trying to talk about things in English, not a hope I'd manage to do it in Spanish :o

Ah Boxer Pint (TM), imbuing pints with a nutty taste.

Why would ye ruin a perfectly good pint by putting a manky pair of jocks in it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

It's to infuse the pint with the subtle taste of revenge.
