Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't sold stock, but bought a bull off donedeal, paid with a draft, that way seller is sure of his money, too many dodgy cheques around now. I'd only take a cheque from someone I know well. Where would you weigh yours?

I also only bought livestock off donedeal and paid with bank draft.

Sold Several Bulls,Cows and Calves off DoneDeal, You'll get some time wasters just looking for a chat. And I don't care what anyone said on the other thread, We never put a price on the ad. There's a much better chance of selling If you can communicate with the buyer and can talk the animals up a bit!

I do the same thing totally, I`d rather get a cheque and wait for it to clear than take a draft for fear its a dud. With the draft your kinda under an obligation to give them the animals straight away but I never let that happen.
Funds must be cleared, any decent lad will understand and not expect any different

As for done deal its good, better than an ad in the farmers journal anyhow. Its just a pity Farmers arent using Adverts.ie , this is totally free to advertise on

We sold stock on DD last year... Very handy, took a 25% cash deposit and held stock till cheque cleared...
Unbeleivable how many texts I got offering 1/3 of asking price in cash if I was stuck:rolleyes:
