Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah here, why all the Gavin hate. Always makes me laugh, usually because he has a great ability to set up jokes from others. He tends to make the Minecraft LPs for me.

"Hey Gavin, how big of a drop is th....OH GOD!"

    Cos i'm a michael lover. :p

I'll recommend this again; GET THE WALKING DEAD GAME! Last part came out this morning, and from a story point of view, it's easily my game of the year right now....
Man I must get that game when its out. From a storyline pov ACIII is about as emotionally impactful as a dog licking itself. Picked up Hitman Absolution yesterday and won't have the time to play it until Friday. Anybody here being playing it?

I finished WD : Ep 5 today as well. Really emotional stuff. Definitely required gaming!!

I hate American TV schedules. So much on during the Winter that I always end up falling behind but so little on during the Summer that I do be bored with nothing to watch. They should change it to suit me :pac:

One can be a Rage Quit guy AND a Slow Mo guy :P
I do adore the podcasts with Gav, Burnie and Michael though.

And so you know, I'm really hoping at least one person decides to check out their stuff as a result of our public convo and fall in love with them like I have :P

Yeah I got it yesterday. To be honest I'm not really enjoying it so far, it's visually spectacular but the gameplay seems a bit foreign to the series. I suppose with a six year gap between releases and a different console there was always going to be change.

Been playing it for two hours earlier. I uh enjoyed the tutorial but the next few were a bit What do I do here? for me. The Chinatown level I just shot the King cause it felt easier to do so after following him for 10 minutes. Just stopped playing the level where you evade the cops but I ended up in a shootout just like when I had to get to the hotel room.....

I'm only that far as well, I
've got through the library after a shootout with cops and I'm now on the rooftops trying to evade a helicopter that's firing on me. It's actually quite difficult I gave up with frustration last night.

The whole silent assassin thing seems to be thrown out the window, the game actively encourages you to get into shootouts which I'm not happy about at all.

If anyone is stuck for something to do in Waterford tomorrow night, Jasper Rua is playing in Sal's and it's free. Should be a pretty good show. Met the guy about a month ago and have arranged for him to open for one of my own shows next year. Worth a listen.

When is it acceptable to put up the Christmas decorations? I usually hold out until my birthday, which is 17 days before X-mas.

We do ours on the Monday closest to the 7th December.

Always Dec 8th in my house, wonder how many times my dog will knock the tree. We have an artificial and she always tries to pull off the decorations like some kinda fat magpie.

Haha when I was living at home it was around the week before Christmas Day. In my place now we already have the tree up. I don't mind either if I'm honest.

Advent begins on the 8th, that's when I officially acknowledge Christmas.

My dog tends to be very nice around the tree until it comes down. He tries to steal whatever ornaments he can on the 7TH of January! The only time he's really P###ed me off at Christmas was when he broke a very large musical snowglobe, because I wasn't paying attention to him at the time!

Advent actually begins on the 4th Sunday before Christmas.

You're right actually I was mistaken, the 8th is the feast of the Immaculate Conception. I always associate this with the beginning of Christmas for some reason.

Just been testing out the christmas tree lights there. They are quite dull in comparison to two years ago. Also watching Casino Royale. Hitting a man in the balls with the knot of a rope, at the risk of sounding like a cinema-goer prickishly narrating a movie but that HAS to hurt.

I don't think that's a knot of a rope, I always thought it was a steel weight on the end of the rope, which would definitely be worse

Picked up RE6 on Amazon for £15 too.

Speaking of MS points, I hope Sony do something similar for the PS4. Trophies are worthless when you could be getting points that can be used for DLC instead.

Are you sure you're not getting Microsoft points and Gamer points mixed up on Xbox?

You have to pay for MS points to buy DLC and when you complete achievements in games you get gamer points but these cant be used to buy DLC.

Exactly. If anything, I'd prefer Microsoft to actually use monetary terms rather than MS Points because I can never think of how much something costs when I see it in MS points.

Though adding money to your account based on trophies or achievements would be brilliant though. Even just if it only gave you a discount or something

They have. Its 1% if your gs is above 15,000 and 2% if its above 25,000.
Not earth shattering by any accounts.

With the rewards points system (rewards.xbox.com) its not bad, you get a nice surprise after a few months when you get free points.

I traded in wwe 13 for the new family guy game. I needed something fun after my unbridled annoyance at the online mode.
Not a bad game so far, got great fg humor unlike the other game they brought out a few years ago.

a faulty plug blew the fuse in a multi-plug adapter - it killed all the HDMI ports on my TV :( which means I have to connect the PS3/360 via component and my PC via VGA. Bought a long VGA cable and component hub and both have problems - the component hub shows interference, and the VGA cable makes my computer get really loud! I think some of the outputs on my graphics card are f**ked :( It's all a f**kin' bust! Needed to vent.

Hey D2D :) where you been?

The VGA cable works - tried it out on the monitor - but the HDMI makes my computer get really loud - so hopefully it's the €10 HDMI cable that's the problem and not my €200 graphics card!

Hey JayK :) I had a bit of a sabbatical from wrestling on the whole for a while...... No watching shows/PPV's etc.... Only caught up on Survivor Series recently enough and decided to make a return! I'm not gonna be like Y2J and disappear after 8 months :pac:

I'd probably go with the HDMI cable as well with that. Can't see that there'd be a problem with a €200 graphic's card to cause that

I thought they were the same thing :o

Have 1 point = 1 cent so they arent just giving stuff away, even 0.5 cent if they want to ensure you have to play a lot to get anything. Anything would be better than what they have now. Just got my 100% trophy in LA Noire and it means nothing. Even if it only got me a few cent, it would still be actually worth doing. Most of my games have the trophy count under 20% because they arent worth anything. If I got something in return, I'd be much more likely to try and get them.

Set up an email alert on a job site for England a few months ago. Get an email once a week giving me a run down of the newly added jobs within the peramiters i set out. Right now, I just ignore it because I'm not looking to go anywhere until the summer. Got this weeks email today. 196 new jobs!!!!! That's filtered down so I can only imagine what it would be like if I didn't put any filters on. Hopefully there are still that many during the summer!

Called my car insurer this morning to change my address and he reminded me that my policy was up next month.
He told me that my renewal quote was down 500 quid from last year!
Then came the kicker when because i was changing address they would have to re-evaluate the cost and he'd put me on hold.
As I'm moving from the country to the town i assumed it'd be more than what it was but he told me it would be another 50ish off!

    Happy days! :D

Ha, awesome. Love when you expect a bill to be something and it works out far less. The exact same thing happened me last month. Thought the insurance would be 500€ more than it turned out to be. Well happy. Everyone is getting nicer presents this year for Xmas than they were prior to learning that :)
