Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whatever he was trying to do, what he did do was kick the kid in the ribs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I think he was going for the ball too but if you are going to try that you better make sure you connect. One of his costliest misses of the season no doubt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

He was trying to kick the ball out yeah, but it was a hefty kick that looked like it caught the kid some,he knew exactly what he was doing though

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 5,402 ✭✭✭Tinie

    Follow his twitter
    https://twitter.com/CHARLIEM0RGAN

No doubt the banter will be immense once he logs back on.

For those that dont know, hes the grandson of a heavy investor of swansea apparently.

Ive looked again and you can see him kick the ball.

Don't care who the kid is, I really don't like the way people are now posting his Twitter and trying to dissect his character.

Doesn't matter what type of person he is. Hazard kicked him and got punished accordingly.

That said, I'm sure the kid won't mind the abuse when he walks away with a few million pound...

It's going to get ugly now without a doubt. You can imagine plenty of clowns having a go.

I don't like the idea of a young guy getting mountains of criticism from all sides. There's enough pressure on being that age as it is. Best thing for him would be for Chelsea to take their punishment and for this to blow over quickly.

Yeah its one of the downsides to the internet, people feel like they can say and do what ever they like to people without any consequences. The kid didn't cover himself in glory this evening but he doesn't deserve the slating he's probably getting now.

I prefer feed the animals, but for a free album, All day is immense.

Also, in case you didnt hear, apparently Torres tried to kick the ball boy too but he missed.

How will affect him in court?

Hoddle on Sky Sports was saying ball boys are encouraged to waste time when their team is winning. Happens in most games. Not an excuse to kick the guy.

Honestly, I reckon Chelsea have already offered the kid a settlement....if they are smart, anyway...

The kid said he is not pressing charges.

I do not think Hazard made any contact from the pictures I have seen.

He did. Not much but he did. If the kid was a United player he'd be half dead :pac:

Haven't even seen the kick but I blame Rafa entirely.

He deserved a kicking. He seems fair thick from his twitter.

Tbf 90% of the people would want a kick on twitter preferably to the balls and or face. Your on twitter Diabhal or at least someone parodying you?
Now better get back to praying Milan or Liverpool don't buy anyone as the people being linked are wastes of space.

If they were gonna name him after a football club you'd think they'd have called him Barca.

There was an american darts player a few years back that was his image. Newcastle sign another french international, not that being one is an achievement nowdays.

Reports surfacing that JJ Abrams has landed the Star Wars Ep. 7 director job.

    So very, very happy...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

As long as JJ doesn't shine a torch in my face for 2 hours, I'll be very happy. Impressed by the latest Star Trek reboot with everything except the lens flare.

It'd be cool if they gave one Star Wars film to one director, like Chris Nolan, Peter Jackson...but then again the different styles might make them not cohesive as an over-arching story. Like after Batman Begins came out I wanted Nolan to direct the trilogy, I'd've been annoyed if someone else took it up. Maybe each director could take a brace of films and release 2 per decade.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,313 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

That will confuse the fanboys of each franchise.

"Abrams' Trek's better!" "No! Abrams' Star Wars!"

Lads could you help me with a small pc problem whenever i`m on sites lately I get these weird ads popping up when I highlight random words that are underlined for no reason. e.g. Tablet is underlined in DM-ICE`s post linking to an iPad ad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I bet it's some malware/adware. I'd get malwarebytes (the free version) and run a full scan on your computer. If you've any usb drives plug them in to your PC and scan them as well. If that doesn't your nasty bug, hitmanPro3 (free version) will.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,469 ✭✭✭✭GTR63

Deleted a thing called Zoomex off my chrome extentions list and the ads seem to have gone now, down remember downloading it, might have been my brother though.
Running a Norton 360 scan aswell assuming i`m in the clear then.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Mad Men, unsure about it so far, want to like Draper but just think he comes off as a dick. Complete opposite to what people have told me about the character. Early days though so will give it a chance.

Just did a speedtest and apparently my connection is faster than 98% of Ireland. This country has crap internet as I still dont think its fast enough :pac:

And I'm on WiFi so the cabled would probably be better, especially since I used cat6 instead of cat5 :D

That is a practice called "text enhance" - it's a malware that occurs when you install an add on - it would be bundled with something you trust - like a toolbar (mainly they come from here) or ironically an ad blocker!

They are used as a way of advertising - in a non compliant way - as regulators in general will never be able to see the ads!

Its a hard slog to start off with, but once you get to know more of the characters you will start enjoying it more. Mad Men is entirely character driven. Do not expect many shooting or explosions etc. Stick with it, it is worth a watch. It is not in my top 3 by any means mind.

I decided to close my facebook account yesterday. It has become oh so tiresome with the attention seeking status updates, pictures of peoples kids, "if I get 1 million likes" etc etc etc. I will re activate it to upload photos if that situation arises, if not, its cheerio.

Stick with it honestly. As the complexity of the characters becomes apparent you'll be hooked.

I don't think Don is meant to be likable but as it all unravel you come to have sympathy for hint despite his flaws.

Roger Sterling is by far the most likable nd legendary character in it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

A Roger Sterling used post here actually. I wonder why he left so quickly. I'd say himself and Pete Campbell would be good buddies.

Id say its more the case that Roger thinks Pete is a schnake and only tolerates him for the sake of business. All Roger ever wanted was to get.p*ssed in the morning and get the ride. :pac:

Do they still do that thing where they take random friends, have pictures you're in together and say "XXXX will miss you" as if you somehow will never see your friends and family ever again if you close your Facebook account?

If it wasn't for a few friends who I'd lose contact with otherwise, I'd delete my account too. Considering starting a new fake account and just adding the people I like. I swear, every time my sister's friend posts a picture of a child with cancer I get one step closer...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Ya, the same thing is there alright. Made me very misty eyed indeed.

I won't close mine completely, I have it de-activated. It is handy to have and would rather not have to get everyones email address etc.

But ya, facebook can do one for the time being.

Can see why TBH. Big money and he's already won the Hcup with Leinster a billion times anyways. Does make him look very money hungry though in comparison to O'Gara and BOD who've had the chance to go but stayed.

Definitely FB has become quite tiresome, I find myself either avoiding the news feed page or hiding/unfriending people. It's my primary page for my show so I can never really leave facebook but yeah it's become insufferable. So glad it's not just me turning bitter or something! Twitter isn't all that better, it's just links to other pages and people announcing they've been to the gym.
