    Congrats
Pellegrini to City is the latest big rumour about to break apparently.

If that happens I'll change my username to Diabhal Beag's Swollen Liver.

Joking. He's a class coach though and an upgrade on Mancini for sure.

I rate Pellegrini but I think its a bit idiotic to go changing a manager after 1 year without a proper trophy(Domestic Cups have never been worth a lot). Yeah you can say he didn`t motivate them enough this year but practically everyone at City is only motivated by money and Silva, Aguero, Toure & Kompany`s form has been at times shambolic. They did terrible in the transfer market last year bar Nastasic who seemed to be the only top target they managed to get.

Pathetic performance by them even as a Liverpool fan I was offended at the appalling lack of effort.
Well done on the result this morning btw ;)

Moyes' first competitive game will be against Wigan then. Awesome.

First profit in 6 years announced in December. 81 thousand people in Wigan.

Amazing that they can take on and beat a team based in Manchester and funded by Abu Dhabi.

    They deserved it as well.

Teams in the past were organised, hard working and got amazing results. Wigan played cracking football as well as the above which makes it even more amazing.

They'll become the first team to win the FA Cup and get relegated in the same year. So next season in the Europa League will be Swansea, Spurs/Arsenal, and Wigan representing England.

Never count Wigan out. It's the first rule from that awful film about fight clubs.

Really? So is the series on RTE 2 now the last one or will there be one more series?

Well brilliant. The Doctor Who finale has leaked due to a DVD distributions error in America. I may just not go on half the websites I visit now...

I know that feeling! I'm S#itting myself about seeing spoilers.
Stephen Moffat has promised that if the episode is kept secret, there'll be an exclusive video released of Matt and David from the 50th!

Is CSI Miami still being made? Usually always get it on Dvd for my Mums birthday, etc. If that goes i`m just relying on NCIS and the overpoweringly charming Castle.

Fergie, Scholes and Kobashi in the one weekend.

    Boo change.

All we need now is for Tony Browne to walk and my youth is officially over.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

Tony Browne will never retire. He laughs at yer Ryan Giggs and yer Maldinis.

OOoooohhh, do want. Still though, I don't think I can trust the net to stay spoiler free till Saturday, so may have to "protect" myself :P

    Meanwhile, some good TV news...

Only watching the premier league highlights now(my interest has been waning). Going by the highlights it seems both Spurs & Chelsea would never have won had Adam & Benteke not been sent off. Really got a feeling that Benfica are going to turn over Chelsea Wednesday nite. Can`t believe how well Coutinho has done but Sturridge hogged most of the praise, I wonder why

I think Benfica might be a bit deflated after losing what was basically the title decider against Porto on Sat in the last minute. Chelsea will do them handy enough IMO

CSI Miami was cancelled last year

Only CSI (original Vegas one) got renewed

They must cost a lot to make but they always seemed to get good viewing figures

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

AHA. when I read "TV shows cancelled: CSI: New York, Vegas..." That's the show "Vegas" that got cancelled, not the CSI set in Vegas. That show took a major downturn after the miniature killer. So many people left.

    Full trailer for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Don't think I've been more excited for a new TV show.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,520 ✭✭✭Hashtag_HEEL

Will it be carried over here?
I hope it's not on Sky Atlantic. I've a pain in my arse waiting for Blu-ray releases to see these series'.
The trailer looks great though, everything Whedon touches is pure gold (I'm not including Dollshouse)

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,620 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I loved Dollhouse past the first 5 episodes. Once Whedon was allowed full reign on the show, it was brilliant. And Epitaph 1 & 2 were great.

I'd presume it'll be carried over here. It's probably one of the biggest shows of the fall (especially in terms of production values), so I'd be amazed if someone doesn't go after it. No way I'll be waiting long for it.

May I ask why not Sky Atlantic?

    Maybe Disney Channel. :)
Wasn't it The Clone Wars where Sky showed them on Sky Movies, of all channels?

Ah. I'd say it will be Sky 1 or Atlantic. Can't see anyone really outbidding Sky, especially since whoever gets it would be better to show it the day after or close to the US

SyFy is a treasure trove of ****e films. Many a Sunday evening was spent laughing at the awful CGI and horrific movie titles.
