    The hurling was ages ago.

Looking forward to see which if the Dubs PWers will try and pretend they were lifelong Hill 16 men :pac:

Great day's sport. I must be the only bogger who's actually happy for Dublin. Fair play top them. I ended up at a lock-in with the Dublin players in 08 after they were hammered by Tyrone and found them to be a sound bunch of lads. They're great exeple of how teams that keep at it and plug away after miltiple defeats can get their reward in the end. Hope for us all.

No you're not, this bogger from Limerick is quite chuffed for them too.

Offaly man here, i'd be happy for Dublin if I gave a **** about GAA. I'm happy for my Uncle, who is a Dub and was on holiday this weekend, in Dingle, while wearing his Dublin Jersey.

Hope he makes it home okay:pac:

Didn't watch the all Ireland today don't regret it, the football championship never really got going this year same with the hurling I felt it was always going to be a Tipp vs Kilkenny final & that just couldn't live up to the totally EPIC games of the two years previously. Stayed up last nite & watched the RWC then like a fool I watched 90 minutes of concentrated frustration that was Liverpool's nothing of a performance today at Spurs I hate Jordan Henderson so much its bad for my health. Milan lost too I knew the Ireland win would be the sporting peak of my weekend

Anyone see the boxing from last night?
I'll readily admit I don't watch boxing, but fúck me, that was a such a bullshít see-you-for-the-rematch pro-wrestling finish. Not impressed one bit.

if anyone wants to know the outcome from Mayweather & Ortiz....
in the fourth round near the end, Ortiz intentionally headbutted Mayweather, and was summarily deducted one point. When the ref re-started the round, Ortiz went up to Mayweather to apologise but Mayweather just took the opportunity of his guard down to deliver two punches and won by TKO. Such storyline russo shít.

Huge rumour going around that the boxing was fixed anyway, but it was done like
a bloody pro wrestling rivalry with Mayweather playing the cocky heel that everyone hates.
Entertaining to some degree, but mostly frustrating.

Hugh Jackman's guest hosting of Raw was mentioned on Xpose, the TV3 celebrity trash show,Dolph Ziggler was also given a mention, but there was no love for Zack Ryder!

Just the kind of mainstream media attention that WWE were hoping for I'm sure.

It baffles me why someone would watch Xpose on TV3 at 6:30pm when Home and Away is on RTE2 at the same time!

Damn, easily one of the best gigs of my life was REM on my 18th birthday in The Point. Great band that always put me in a good mood.

Sometimes you have to take the break-up of a band with the same pinch of salt as a wrestler retiring - likely they will make a comeback in the future.

Guinness is quite possibly the most disgusting drink in thee world, utter filth.

So no **** you Arthur for inventing it:o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,888 ✭✭✭Charisteas

Boo indeed to a drinks company actually having an annual Birthday celebration, heck not even Coca 'we invented Santa Claus' Cola celebrate their own birthday every year.

I take my hat off to the marketing team though, there seems to be plenty of people in town lapping it up.

Speaking of plenty of people in town, if you're not busy tomorrow then I highly recommend checking out Culture Night, hundreds of attractions (indoor and outdoor) are open for free for one night only.

Last year I went to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells and the famous library, nothing special but it usually costs around tenner to see it on any other night of the year.

Not sure what i'll do tomorrow, i'm thinking maybe visit the St Patricks Cathedral and then the Leprechaun museum.

The Committee room series is over & rté never once teased a Marty heel turn what a waste. I was hoping him, Diugnan, Farrell & Lyster would form into a heel kliq & take out the annoying Des Cahill on the Sunday game, a doomsday device on des would be tv moment of the year without question

Went to see Warrior last night. Holy balls it was awesome. I have no doubts about Tom Hardy playing Bane anymore, he looks like an absolute beast. Nick Nolte deserves an award for actually making me feel upset watching a scene. Kurt Angle plays a russian MMA Fighter and completely looks the part.

Bit of both tbh. It'll be remembered for Nick Nolte's performance and for being a great film for 2011, but the best way to describe it is the Rocky of MMA.

Glad to hear its Great but whenever I hear Nick Nolte's name I always think of Gary Busey.

As an MMA fighter YESSS!!!! but as a stoic Russian heck no.

Angle played more or less his short-lived character in ECW:

Ufc was fair dull tonite, the main event just seemed to drift to a inevitable conclusion. I'd love to know what was Rampage's gameplan besides coming out & howling like one of my neighbours after a nite out. Anyone watching the Rugby game at 6am

I still like Brian & Stewie but yeah your right. I think its cause they seem to be making new episodes constantly, they should take there time making them but now its quantity over quality for Sure. Peter now is nearly as unfunny as Homer Simpson(if thats possible) who hasn't said anything funny the last 15 years. Roger is awesome in American Dad all the same.

Decided not to bother myself as despite old cliche "no such thing as an easy game blah blah" I couldn't get excited about watching us smash some amateurs up.I did get up for the Scotland game, low on real quality but it went down to the wire at least. Argentina are going to get hammered by New Zealand though:eek:

Ireland v Italy and England v Scotland are the only 2 games to get excited about before the knock out campaign begins.

I liked Stewie but never thought much of Brian. Probably because he's the most musical character which I hate in any show.

Yeah a lot of the singing in it is unnecessary. I probably like Brian with Stewie rather than Brian himself. Meg & Chris must be two of the weakest characters in the show only useful when on the end of a joke.
