Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I saw that a couple of days ago. He's sorta funny and has a point.

But then again its never the camera or the equipment that makes a good movie. Its always the creative skill and talent of the person behind the camera and equipment which makes a good movie.

I've seen some absolutely amazing short films shot with just a canon 550D and the kit lens.

Here's a trailer of a guy shooting a WWII film in his basement with a 550D:

Also a recent Hollywood example is the movie Moon with Sam Rockwell which was only filmed for $5 million and I loved the movie much more than the $800 million Avatar which was released in the same year.

I think a new revolution is going to take place in the film industry where the independent film makers, not thanks to DSLRS giving that "film look" for such an accessible price to most people, will start getting a bigger share in the market thanks to the internet.

Lately I myself have been watching more independent short films and I don't remember the last time I liked a hollywood production. Actually Inception was the last hollywood film I really liked. I barely even watch hollywood movies anymore as they've all been pretty awful lately.
